super charger with a snorkel?
Has anyone installed the magnuson super charger with a snorkel yet?
I have inquired with magnuson about this possibility and received this reply: The snorkel may cause issues or a check engine light due to the different amounts of air that are being sent to the engine verses a stock air box.
In other words, they have not done it and don't know.

I have both.. there is no issue at all with the snorkel.

I see you're in California, be prepared to wait. They aren't shipping these to California customers until they get CARB approval. I bought and paid for mine back in December when they first released it and I'm still waiting with no ETA.
well that's a bummer. guess i'll hurry up and wait.

The pain of living in the republic of CA.. I can't imagine. You should get your money back... I'm sure that bureaucracy takes forever.

It's a TVS Eaton blower. roots style, but not a traditional roots. Same unit is used in several production cars.
The winch should fit fine, but not sure how it effects airflow to the heat exchanger. I have a winch bumper but don't have a winch mounted at the moment. Just can't stomach the weight for something I never use. I will install one if I ever do a solo trip. Right now, I let others carry it for me LOL
As far as the mounting goes.. I did have to change things up a bit for my bumper. It was mainly related to the hose routing and pump location. The exchanger is pretty small though and there are plenty of options. My bumper is probably the highest clearance tightest on the market and I was able to make it all work. Yeah baby...just got the same email. Good news for us in CA. Likely not good news for my wallet.
I presume they're also helping to recommend shops in the bay area, certified to do installs?

I'm sure folks have asked...but what's your average gas mileage?
I think it is about 14 in mixed use. Probably dropped it about 1mpg, but not really sure. It was close to that before.

I have had one for over 25 years and never worn it not once. I should sell it and buy the Supercharger also.

well it doesn't void the warranty and I am also given to understand that Magnuson offers their own warranty (3 years) that covers the parts their system effects.

I'd sell it either way. If nothing else it still has value today, but those days are numbered. The obituary of the status watch is ready for publishing. My generation would probably give you $50 for one. Once we're the only generation buying - they will be worth about $50.
