I have one location still open on my Switch Pros. They obviously don’t have a KDSS sticker but they do have a sway bar sticker, good enough. I would guess it would make install pretty darn easy.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what would be the advantage of turning off KDSS if you're not just ripping it out for Long Travel? I have the Blackgate Sway Bar Drop Spacers (though not installed yet) and I don't plan on exceeding the 26.5" shock length. What would be the advantage of turning off KDSS in that setting?

It's really only useful if you might be high-speed running where you know left and right side articulation will be different. otherwise, not much. it'll help a bit off-road even on normal forest service roads, but really it's just for desert running beacuse anywhere below ~12 mph it's off anyways

I found the need for me when I was going thru Fish Creek Wash ... In 2wd and was going thru wash boards. And everything I went pass 12mph ... I would experience KDSS bounce and cause the whole cargo to shake and bounce around.
I just want the option to turn it on and off when I want too. Just like I want to be able to control the rear locker even in 4wd hi.
It will benefit everyone. Not just for off-roading. Makes truck more comfortable in town on messed up bumpy roads or hitting driveway or bumps at angles.
Also imagine long travel / mid travel with kdss. Trust me it’s possible. Drop blocks are stage 1. I have a stage 2 in the works. You’ll b able to run a 30” shock.

For me it is washboard more than anything. It can get terrible places I like to go. Forest roads, 2WD most of the time but 25-35 mph range. Drives me nuts after awhile.
So really better on road with KDSS, better on washboard than non-KDSS. Obviously there are other pros and cons of KDSS, but this is a biggie for me.
Packed rutted icy snowy roads will be nice as well.
Another cool thing I’m seeing under testing is I think it resets the kdss system and takes a way from kdss lean.

I remember when I was first getting the 4Runner and those same ppl you talk about swear that the kdss version is the one not to get if I want to lift or mid/ long travel it.
I’m so going to prove every 1 wrong. It’s in the works.

Been working with king shocks actually since 2008-09 ish. But yeah I created a triple bypass rear shock for the 4runners that allows for Oem bump travel and more droop.
