I normally check out Slickdeals everyday, so when I saw this this morning, I thought I would pass it along. For those who want to check out the diagnostic codes, the Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles is on sale for $15.54 shipped (with Prime). No affiliation, just passing along a deal that might be of interest here.

Thanks for the heads up. However, I found out just last night that the Toyota Techstream software and necessary cables can be had for $45-$55 shipped from Ebay. :frog:

I think it's probably a better investment than the OBDII scanner. Just my $0.02.

Jaker, a few folks have experienced troubles with various TT software and cables. What is your review of yours? Can you mimic everything that the stealership can see/do?

I'll let you know when I receive mine (either this Friday or Monday).

I ordered the same one as harper7; if I'm not mistaken, it's worked okay for him.

Mine works fine, it is the same software and has all the same functions the dealer has.

Only issue is the drivers wouldn't work on my x64 windows7, but it runs fine in a XP virtual machine on my laptop.

Poop. Mine is 64 bit as well. Does it run ok in "XP compatibility" mode?

+1 I ordered the same one. I should get mine in a few days. Figured it was a small price to pay and the diagnostic capability will make it worth it too.

The TIS runs fine, but the drivers for the cable don't work, so probably a no go.

Can you run a VM? I am using VMWare workstation to do a 32 bit XP machine, but you could use vmware player for free, or Microsoft has virtual PC which is free, but I'm not sure how good it is with pass through of devices like VMWare.
