Not if the main man croaks or is incapacitated.
I'm supporting Obama becasue he supports health care reform and supports unions (McCain does not) and I am a member of one so this election is pretty important to me thus I'm strongly for the Dems.
War in another country is my least of concerns;we get out of Iraq we will be less of a target to terrorists and I want out soon since were heading toward 5000 soldiers dead the longer we stay there.
With McCain and his war agendas will make sure we are there alot longer than we need to be.
Protect our borders and get this country righted again.

Just ask the Canadians what they think of their medical care for their loved ones. I have nurses who get jobs here in the US just to get their relatives good medical care. One of my nurse hate social medicine because her father has to wait 8 months for colonoscopy...oh yeah, during those 8 months, he was bleeding out of his ass!

She has taken on Big Oil in DRAMATIC fashion here in alaska, in a way that's NEVER been done in the US ANYWHERE including on a federal level. She raised taxes in the face of entrenched politicians and lobbyists that CONTROLLED the state to a ridiculous degree. Those politicians are battling the FBI and destined to jail. The smart ones are already serving because they cut deals.
She's cut state taxes, suspended the gas tax.
Refunded excess surplus directly back to residents in the form a check ($1200 EACH)
Cut government waste including the jet, chef, and her personal bodyguard. Until the VP thing - She flew alaska Airlines - COACH. NO entourage.
She's fought democrats and republicans tooth and nail, used her line item veto to make cuts that WEREN'T popular.
it's almost every single campaign promise she made. How many politicians knock their list out before their first half of their term is over?! Its ludicrous.
To me, THAT is experience.
I must say I am obviously highly biased as an alaskan. I am also highly informed.
When the issue drops back to mccain - things aren't so rosy. But if we're comparing palin-obama, obama is put to shame.
Senatorial experience is committee committee committee. I've seen it. It's ugly, its boring, and its EASY. Especially when your party is doing everything for you and all you have to do is parrot the party line.
The biggest thing obama has ever run is his campaign, and he's never faced a political situation where he's got to manage people that don't agree with him.
and remind me where the money for universal health care will come from.... there is a reason that for the countries that provide it, it is the single largest expense of that government. Please, point one out that doesn't have at least double our tax burden.

How much more different is McCain from George W. Bush? From what i have heard, he has very similar ideals. Do you guys think Bush is doing a good job? I honestly can't say i have researched enough of the Republican side, just wondering if you think McCain will be another Bush.
At the end of the day, people will vote for the person that suits them best. I just hope everyone knows each candidates policies and just picks what matches their needs. Those of you who have said you do not care about what means are used by the American government to obtain information on its people worry me. Where are you from? What country were you raised in? How old are you? What have you seen, heard, or read that makes you not care about privacy and government invasion? WAKE UP if you think you have a valid reason for feeling this way. No it does not have to do with your safety. Take a course in psychology and statistics if you feel this is a valid claim. No it does not have to do with the fact that you have nothing to hide. The mere mentioning of terrorism as a basis for your feeling is self-evident that you spend far too much time in front of a tv tuned in to a news network. I hope many more people reading this thread, this forum for that matter, agree with my sentiments. As for my vote? Way too soon to decide and this is a very interesting campaign race

My rant is quite clear and my point should be as well. Read it again if you are confused. But I find it hard to believe that someone who has studied psychology and statistics, to the point that they understand them, would cite safety as a reason for allowing the American government to further invade our privacy.

My dumb, uneducated ass is ready for a little more tiara wearing, tax cutting, maverick, sportscasting, American hero/dream, 90% approval rating, experienced executive(s). I have had enough of lawyers, Ivy League intellectuals, smooth manipulative loop-hole oriented politicians with long track records of superiority complexes and who are driven by the preservation of their own power.
I guess my problem is I have yet to see a beautiful building, major feat of human kindness, engineering marvel or any extraordinary effort yielding extraordinary results for all that lawyers or enlightened progressives have done. They've "done" plenty but most of it doesn't help me or anybody I know. I guess I am into more well-rounded doers rather than those who are exclusively thinkers.

Palin scares me with that act of GOD crap......Mccain wants 100 years in iraq when the 9/11 hijackers were from saudi Arabia...hmm....iraq has a 80 billion surplus.......why are we over there spending 10 billion a month with our economy in crisis. troops dying over nothing bring them boys home.
