Measuring toe at home: What TRIANGLE does the Toyota angular toe specs indicate?

I am trying to understand how to measure alignment at home, specifically toe-in (which is specified in degrees, whether I like that or not), but I'm currently confused as to what the toe-in specs specifically indicate.

I've realized that asking any alignment question, no matter what, can get off topic in a split second, simply because there are a ton of variables involved, many of which I may very well be confused about.

So this question, in this suspension forum, is intended to be a very short thread that asks a simple specific Toyota question that tries to nail down what exact triangle is Toyota thinking about when they specify toe in degrees (instead of in linear distance such as 1/16th of an inch).

When I plan on measuring toe, I'm not going to measure degrees; I'm going to measure inches. Then, using trigonometry, I'm going to need to convert that distance to degrees which the Toyota spec is in.

Given that there is an inevitable distance-to-degrees trig conversion, that means there is a triangle involved in this question (that triangle is somewhere, whether I like it or not).

Given Toyota toe specs are in degrees, Toyota had a specific triangle in mind, so, for this thread, I'll call that the "Toyota Triangle".

Here's the simple specific question for this thread:
Q: Where exactly is that Toyota Triangle that Toyota envisioned when Toyota specifies toe-in in degrees?

Did I draw the exact three sides of that Toyota Triangle correctly yet in my drawing below?

I realize that this was answered in another thread, but it seems there was still a lot of confusion. Here's hopefully a more simple and clear response.

Your left-hand diagram above shows half of the problem. Draw another mirror image diagram for the right-hand wheel. Total toe is the angle between the hypotenuses of the two triangles (the lines running through the center line of the tires).
Total toe can be
1) positive - the lines intersect in front of the wheels.
2) Negative - the lines intersect in back of the wheels.
3) zero - the lines are parallel and don't intersect at all.

I've attached a picture from the 2005 FSM which shows how toe is measured, both angular and in inches. Remember that each wheel provides half of the total toe angle.

Also, the toe measurement is only valid with the wheels pointing straight ahead. Once you turn the wheels away from straight ahead, by design the toe angle will change due to the steering geometry.
