Would the only difference between the trail and the SR5 version (outside of a KDSS workaround, though does that change the bolt pattern?) be the height to account for the lower SR5 rocker panel? I was planning on trimming mine anyway (or remove them a la RiDE style) since I like the higher look of the sliders on a trail style rocker. Any idea on weight for the set?

Yessir, we are making both options for those that do not want to remove their rocker panel or for those who want the increased ground clearance with the TE edition. The bolt pattern doesn't change between the models, and we will be using the bolt on gusset in the rear to keep things simply for production reasons.

Nope, it was simple. All I had to do was remove two of the bolts holding the KDSS hard lines, slide the mounting plates behind the lines, then replace the bolts with the new provided bolts. There are holes in the mounting plates that line up with the KDSS bracket holes. Then, on the rear mounting plate on the drivers side, there is a bolt on gusset as mentioned by LT.
As far as the front mud flaps, I had already removed them for tire clearance. Not sure if they need to be removed or not. I did have to remove the rear mini flap thing that is bolted right in front of the rear tires.
I am very happy with the look, fit, and function of these sliders. Thanks MT!

Good to see a picture of them on a rig. They look great and have me changing my mind on whether I actually want to do the work to trim the rocker panel..(and the fact I may still have cold feet cutting that part of the truck up) :thanks:

Thanks for this post. I went to MT today and spent a long time talking with Mark. What a great guy. Their new sliders for the SR5 are going to be great. I was considering doing the rocker panel trim for whatever sliders I purchased. Not now. Saw lots of pictures of PDX4Run sliders, some of the prototypes and how easy to bolt on. Can't wait for these to be ready for sale. They are great. Hang down maybe 2 inches under the rocker for the main frame but don't look like they will cause much risk of a hanging up.

How much of a gap would be left if the SR5 rocker panel are removed using the TE edition? I have seen pics of the SW sliders on here with out rockers and it's a large gap. Maybe an edition for SR5 and limited that hug the body closely with out the rockers. Also an end cap to cover that pink tab right behind the front tires. Hope I'm not asking for too much but I don't think I could cut the rockers without destroying them.

sounds like they want to go into production right after the first of the year. Want to get up on their web site and be ready to go. And jbstrd is right, they do get back to you fairly quickly. I was very impressed with their patience in answering questions, looking at my runner and offering advice.

So they were on the MT site last week but I just looked today and they completely changed to format of the site. They were listed as FJ/4R Outpost Offroad Sliders originally and there was $100 off coupon that was good during the month of January. They say only FJ Sliders now, but you may want to give them a call and figure out exactly what happened when they reformatted the site. When I built them up previously they were $600-$650 with two step plates (one front, one rear) and powdercoat, just to give you an idea on price.

We have TE and SR5 available at this time, still waiting to get a Limited in the shop to test fit the SR5 sliders. The SR5 sliders will fit with the factory body panels so modifications are required.
