Just picked up my first T4R last week. I'm in Greenfield, IN (about 15 east of Indianapolis). No big plans as of yet but I'm sure I'll be sneaking mods in under the wife's nose before long!
who's your friend in the back haha
:welcome:
Well I just skimmed through this entire thread and there is only 2 other people from Michigan! slim picking for us I guess.
Once I am done with my suspension install I would be up for some offroading. My main problem is I do not know of any good trails around me.

Browsing mostly gonna do the archery competition
Silver lake bud!!!
Anymore info on the show? I'm out in Inver Grove, wouldn't mind meeting other 4runners
Good to see another Iowan. I am one of few here in the Des Moines area. We will have to meet up sometime. There are a couple events coming up in the next month. Let me know if interested.Greetings! I just moved to Altoona, IA in April. I grew up in Greenville, SC and lived there most of my life. In 2014 we moved to Hendersonville, NC mountains before moving here. My wife is a RN and just got a new job at the hospital in Newton, IA. We looked in the Des Moines area for an apartment because Newton didnt have much to offer. We found Altoona to be nice and is close to I-80. We moved here sight unseen and it has been a real struggle but we are getting things straight now. Its going to be a change to see all the snow and I will have to drive my wife to work during the winter. I have owned my 4Runner since 2002 when I drove it brand new off the lot. It has zero rust so Im trying to learn about all that prevention now. Love it here in Iowa!

Hey everybody, newish 3rd Gen owner (Jan 15) and checking in to the Midwest group! I live in Milwaukee now, but grew up in Iowa and went to school in Michigan so where do I fit in??
Since I'm posting I figured this is as good of a time as ever to ask for a little help on my decision making. I need new tires before the winter and it's as good of a time as ever to pull the trigger on wheels too - also an excuse to put it by the gf...
I have an 02 Sport Edition in Thundercloud and decided on the Konig 5 Star through FN Wheels, but on the fence between matte black or gunmetal. I mean you can't really go wrong with matte black and anything, but it's not exactly an uncommon theme. I thought the gunmetal may be a little bit of a unique look, but the contrasting shades of silver may not look as good in practice as in theory.
So what do you guys think, matte black or gunmetal? For the record I'm probably going with Hankook Dynapro AT-M or General Grabber AT 2 tires.
Here's the truck the day I picked her up, thanks in advance for the help!
