Might buy these..advice, comments?

$350 would be for MINT wheels. Those are very beat up. I would only pay $200 for the whole set. Personally I think the 5-star wheels look much better than the ones pictured in this thread.

& I finally picked them up today from the guy and they look like how they did on the pics he gave...

but I got em so yes! :D

Gonna work on repainting them in the next few days/weeks gonna order those new ACORN lugs from wheelersoffroad while I'm working on the painting so I can get em all ready to be put on asap!

absolutly get them. They are alittle ruff, but I looked for a while for those rims. I think they look great on a 4runner. I ended up paying out the ass for ATX Artillery's 16x9 to get that wider stance then stock.

check this guy's 4runner, he powder coated his, and they look great.

still trying to finalize what color i want to go with when i spray em bah.

Would a dark bronze'ish color look weird on a Thundercloud Metallic t4r?

kinda like this color..but on LC80's?

I think that looks ok on those wheels because there isn't a lot of surface area. The LC wheels have a lot more in comparison, so it's going to be a lot of bronze. Keep that in mind. That being said, I'm not a big fan of bronze to begin with, so I would say no to that color. But you gotta pick what you like best and if you like bronze the best, go for it! I'd support it 100% and what's the worst that can happen? If you don't like it, just paint them a different color. How about painting one and seeing what you think of it on your Runner?

That's a good idea Hepar. Thanks. I do have a Spare 5th rim so i think i could just try the bronze on that one and see how it goes. thanks man!
 
Corny, there is a place in Anaheim that specializes in powder coating rims and is half the price of most other shops. Nu Tek powder coating off La Palma and Red Gum. Major cross streets La Palma and Kraemer/ Glassell. I mention that because I know you are near the OC area. I will try to find their number for you if you want. Think they says average is around $30 a wheel but they would have to see your rims and quote directly.

Thanks Pikeman that'd be great to know. I'm actually in the San Diego area but am willing to make the drive up to this place. :D
