MillerPKA's Build Thread

lol damn miller looks really good dude!

fonerunner: those wires are for stopping branches in the path while wheeling so that they dont scratch the pain and hit the windshield.

That seems like a great idea and really easy to do...so why I haven't I seen that on here more? I guess you need a winch bumper to mount to, but there's plenty of those on here too...

no, u dont have to have a winch bumper... i thought bout doing it on my brush guard a while back but the only prob is i didnt have a roof rack and my new one doesnt extend to the front. U need something like Miller's roof rack since it holds the cable above and infront of the windshield to work properly.

Yeah you're correct. I did have ideas before the gobi about mounting hardware above the windshield but the rack changed everything. Definitely a cool spur of the moment mod

You can do it without a brush guard, you have to get "L" Brackets and mount the wire that way. And Miller, No Blinkers yet???

Yeah the limb risers aren't a bad idea. Been thinking of doing it since
I seen it in the arb magazine I've got they had these on a 4runner too. They turned out good. What's next?

Haha the blinkers are coming I just have to figure out what I'm doing with the arb. When I mod the blinker housing I'm obviously going to have bare metal that I can't just spot powdercoat so I'm deliberating taking it to a body shop afterwards and getting it painted to match

ARB's 4th gen was my inspiration, then I finally came across a few undeleted pictures of this guy named PoBoy's wires so I finally took the plunge

Man you have no idea. This last year has all been small stuff since I have been finishing my degree. I 'graduate' in May and finish my obligations in July, after which I have a great job working for a winery. At this stage I'll have more money than I'll know what to do with. Not going to spoil everything but we're looking at a 1uz swap, total chaos lt front end, custom rear bumper to start. I'll be moving into 37s at that stage, maybe 42 by the time I'm all said and done. Gotta keep in mind I'm trying to keep this truck for my kids so I'd like it to fit in the 3rd garage :)

haha so u should sell me ur 4runner and then do the LT and swap on a stock back runner! :lookout: but ya dude still fit in a garage? How tall are ur garages, my parents have the standard 7ft garage and with worn down 33s and the roof rack and lights im like 1 cm from hitting already.

Its been a while since I've done any measurements on her or been in a garage but I doubt I'd fit. And if not I'll have to customize the garage haha

Update time, built some limb risers, repainted rockers and bumper and purchased a Pioneer double-din head unit in yesterday as a graduation gift for myself :bigok:

The head unit is a Pioner AVH-P3200DVD. Got it out the door with the dvd in drive mod for $425. Plays .avi as well and my roommate and I have a 300 movie collection. All in all very happy with it, going to throw my spare Xbox under the passenger seat and wire it up for some happy passengers :)

Its looking good. I like the combination of exterior function/style with interior comfort.

X2 Role Models is a great movie

looks nice and beefy.. pioneer definately makes the best head unit, congrats on that and the grad, im graduating too, but from highschool haha!

Thanks guys, the movie and song were just randomly what were playing when I brought the camera, sorry for the PG13 track name. The interior will be getting some decent attention over the summer while I start my new job, then the fun begins
