Mod Idea - All 4 Auto Windows

So I was driving today and I started thinking about what little tiny things that I don't like about my 4runner. On top of that, I asked myself which one's could actually be rectified.

One of the big ones was having automatic windows on all 4 (instead of just the driver).

Does anyone know how involved this would be? I feel like it would be fairly simple. Even all the way down to purchasing 3 more 'Auto' window switches from the dealer if need be. What do you guys think? Doable? Heard of anyone doing this?

I'd just like a mod like I had for my VW where you can roll up and down the windows from the remote... it was useful to air out the car on hot days or hide the interior from rain!

I'm pretty sure for your idea it wouldn't work since the switch on the driver's door is a "master switch" meaning it's one piece underneath, not 4 separate switches.

Hmmm I really hope its not a master. I might go pull it out in a bit and check it out. If I do I'll take some pictures. If that idea won't work, here is a slightly different angle:

My friend's Hummer had a button that put all 4 windows down at once, stock. It was badass and I want it. I have plenty of blank switches that I can use, but the trick would be wiring from the doors to the switch which would get ugly I presume. I would rather wire it to the center console but that would be even more difficult than wiring it to the blanks to the left of the steering wheel. You think I'll run into the same issues?

This has been discussed pretty thoroughly here before and if I remember correctly the only way to do it is with the DEI 530T auto window module. which you can pick up for about $50 each on ebay, you need 2 because each one controls 2 windows.

I was actually looking into this a few nights ago because I can't get my auto switch on the drivers side to work anymore. I believe the dei 530T adds the one touch feature to all windows.

That sounds like a great idea! I would think that with some wiring you should be able to share the "auto" feature with the other three switches on the driver's door.

That would be a very worth while mod. I'm sure if you can get it to work there will be plenty of people on this forum that would buy them from you.

Not sure if it's the same on the 4Runner as my old G35 but if power ever gets cut to the windows (i.e. battery removal) then you have to "train" them again so they know where to stop when rolling up and down.

In order to do this, roll the window all the way down and continue to hold down on the switch for ~10 seconds, then roll it all the way back up and continue to hold for ~10 seconds after it's at the top. I'm willing to bet this will correct your problem and the auto function will work properly again.

u need 2 dei 530t , one for the front, one for the back, and have alot of 14 gauge speaker wire, just buy like a 100 feet roll, use the extra to upgrade the speaker wire if u have an amp. u will need to run 2 pairs of wire to each motor wire on each door, thats why they need 4, so speaker wire works great, i hide the 530ts under the center console, takes a lil time but worth it, also since u have an aftermarket alarm its perfect. u can use different color wires, its a must if u dont have a test light, so u know whats up and wats down. its not that hard.
to the guy whos has trouble with the auto, have u hold the auto button all the way down for a good 10+ secs, and then up the same way, it should solve the problem, i have not have any problems with my switches no doing auto up or down on each switch.

You can have the remote programmed to roll down the windows.But it will only roll down the back 2.

Thanks for the advice, but I knew about that and have tried it hundreds of times. I can get it to work on the sunroof & rear window, but not the driver's window for some reason.
