Mod(s) please take note

brianemc2_42, I fully agree. All threads should have a moderator message when being moved. In fact, all moderator actions should have some sort of communication with the directly related party/parties.

Just an FYI for you folks, there's been some discussion going on in the moderators section for inside improvement. SV_Dude is not alone, we will have a larger and more active team of moderators sooner than later.

I've been talking with some long time members with good reputations for moderator work. It's unknown as of now, as Admin has to be the one who instates them, but so far, we may have two potential mods lined up. This should help get more mod support for each generation.:whoo:

Usually you just post a quick "Moved to "x forum" message in the thread with a quick explanation if that seems necessary.

The new Forum-Jump feature solves 99% of the Problem.

1 Click and you can see (among other things) all the cities in the regions.

... Where did the recent threads go on the right? I was getting used to that...

+1 on the "Recent Posts/Threads" side bar; that was a great. An unexpected effect was that it got people looking at stuff going on in other forum sections/Gen sections which I think is a good thing. I know I tend to stick to General and 4th Gen section unless something piques my curiosity, which happened often when that side bar was active.

Same here.
Sometimes I saw posts in sections I forgot we have.

There's a 4th Gen section ?? :wow2:

j/k

The people on this forum are great, but it is among the most mis-managed and 'noisy' forums I'm involved with. :)

I've been an on again/off again moderator at Appleinsider.com since 1999 so I get the tedious nature of being a moderator. I wouldn't want to be one here. Just the number of sub-forums alone makes it tricky.

A separate section for accessories? Is that really necessary?

Seems like maybe some 'subject creep' occurred at some point in the past. And now the mods are left wasting time moving things out of general discussion. And that gets annoying for everyone.

Just my opinion. :)

There's an effort underway to improve things around here.
Your patience is appreciated.

We now return you to the regularly scheduled programming.
