I would do that but the others keys on the ring would still be tapping against each other.

I only notice it off road when bouncing around the keys are all knocking around...very annoying. good mod!

thanks to this thread i notice it….actually being able to hear my tools move around in the cargo area is the most annoying. this is my first SUV

Good idea. Actually some cars actual do have something like that in place but it's a rubber piece. If i remember correctly, it was my 95 Passat.

Very cool indeed! I ended up getting one of those colored rubber fob jackets from e-Bay because somehow the panic button would get pushed when in my pocket. But your idea above is very commendable. Thanks!

Didn't put the grippy side of velcro on. Just the fuzzy side.

If I put the grippy side the key fob might pick up a lot of lint from my pocket.

I for one like the jingle sound. I rarely notice it but when I do I enjoy it.

good idea, I might copy. I had a mechanic once tell me that having a big heavy set of keys like mine could possibly cause problems over time with my ignition switch. I think he was serious. Anyone ever heard of that?

i've also heard this, i keep my keys light just cuz i dont like carrying them around.
