I don't get it. Did you change the positioning of the silver ring or something?

MICA4R got it right. I never noticed anything like this. Please do go into details, sir.

2 things

1) I keep my key-chain light. I don't want to ruin the ignition. Over miles the weight of a lot of keys will ruin an ignition. (VW's were notorious for this/ Yota not so much)

2) As a by-product that little key fob keeps bumping into the plastic. I put a little piece of the fuzzy side of velcro on the dash under the keyring at the 5-7 o'clock positions so that I don't get that knocking/tapping sound of plastic on plastic.
