Mounting Hi-Lift on Stock Roof Rack

Has anyone managed to find a way to mount their Hi-Lift to the stock roof rack?

I've heard about using Yakima mounts and rigging something up, but nothing in great detail.

(Disclaimer: I searched around and didn't find anything too helpful.)

I don't know if I trust those things holding a 40lbs jack on my roof rack whilst I'm offroad...

I'd be curious to see exactly which Quickfists people are using for that, and how/what they're attached (to).

oh sh1t Hi lift... not sure why I thought shovel... ya a hi lift might be sketchy lol.... what about 4x4rac mounts? they are menat for a flat mounting surface but perhaps a u bolt type solution?

I honestly can't say that I'd trust the factory crossbars alone to mount a Hi Lift. I used to put mine on a Yakima Loadwarrior, but after a couple of close calls almost dropping it while putting it on the mount I decided I'm going to wait until I get a rear bumper and mount it to that instead.
