mudflap removal?

Thinking about removing the front mudflaps since there is substantial tire rubbing around about 3/4 lock when turning right. At a quick glance it wasn't obvious to me how though. I didn't see how to get behind them to hold the nut while while turning the bolt. Also, it looks like there are rivets holding them on.

Alternatively I could just cut out the lower inside corner, which is where the rubbing is.

Suggestions?

I would just try to trim away the part that's rubbing so that you have some flap left there on the outside to protect the body.

suggestions say u?? Get 35"s and take a sawzall to the fender I agree with DOOZI, if u can get away with trimmin a bit and still have sum flap thats what I would do

they are screws that just screw into the fender I believe. So no need to hold the back side when taking them out. Truck looks much better in my opinion without them. I started with my fronts flaps and the just took my rears off last weekend to match the look of the front.

i removed mine too cause of rubbing. im mixed on the look/functionality of it.

but they are easy. just a few screws holding each one in.

When I tried turning the screws they just turned and turned without loosening. I will have to give it another shot, or maybe I will just cut out a notch to leave me some protection.

If I remember,the screws are fastened to the fender lip with plastic tension nuts.You could use some pliers to hold the plastic fasteners from spinning while getting the screws off.
