I was getting out of work and all of the sudden I see this asshole reving his engine at me. Ofcourse, I have balls and it is their duty to make me respond. He looked at me with a smug face and all, thinking he was all that. Now, I know that 2nd gens aren't exactly known for their speed. Heh. I accepted the challenge anyways, and reved back. We're both waiting for the light to turn green, inching forward, hitting the line. I opened my rear window and my window so the airflow would help with aerodynamics. I shut off my airconditioning, I need everything I can.
My fingers sweat a little bit as I grasp the shifter ready to rock.
In a matter of miliseconds the light turns green and we're both off. We were neck and neck for the first couple of seconds, I'm shifting at around 4.5k (I'm still not harsh on my 3.0) and I'm shifting real clean. Then, I pulled away. It was movie like, the dust rose and I'm sure it pissed him off. And for the first time, I kicked the guys ass. I wish I could have seen the look on his face when he saw me ride off with glory.
Whoever said that 2nd gens and the 3.0 motors were slow?
You just have to learn to pick your battles wisely.
