Swapped some Tacoma handles to match the tan interior. Now I just have to color match the shifter console.
Ahh, those are black originally. Interesting.

Yes they were. I wanted to used the brown OD button, but didn't feel like taking apart the whole thing. Also you have to switch the power/ground wires on the 4WD button as the Tacoma is opposite but same style plug.
Here are the stock black ones.

what LEXUS was this steering wheel swapped from> ?
was it a direct fit?.. do you think you could have kept the toyota center part and the wood grain steering wheel?...

Yes it was a direct fit WITH the Lexus ES300 air bag. The 4runner bag would not fit perfectly. The mounting points were lower on the Lexus steering wheel. I tried to make the 4runner bag fit the Lexus wheel for 3 hrs. Took me 10 min to install the Lexus air bag.

That looks great! This is what I did on mine, but this isn't real wood and the factory discontinued it. I'm fighting with them to make it again. As our trucks get old, the leather rips apart.

That wheel looks to been in good condition based on that pic. I can't find any around here that aren't cracked on the wg. What did they charge you for bag and wheel if you don't mind me asking?

Dude...where do I begin? I will nutshell it and mention just two things in particular that stand out to me personally as f'ing remarkable.
1) You found most of these parts in junkyards! This is beyond cool. Anyone can order new from here and there but it takes passion to seek out the items individually and create something a working man can be inspired by.
2) Your kids did the 'heavy lifting' so to speak and you instructed/supervised.
This is what separates the helpless, dependent youth from the capable independent kids you've raised. Well done, sir!

My junkyard is 5min away from my house and when my kids and did the conversion, I just had open heart surgery. That's why I just supervised. Even my Dad help my kids!
Thanks for the compliments. My kids were raised with military bearing and learned how to wrench since they were small.
