My transmission filler tube doesn't align. Can someone help me with pictures?

I've sourced a leak to my tranny filler tube and realized the bracket securing the top of the filler lost its bolt. The tube is in 2 parts, one solid coming from the pan, the second being the holder for the dipstick. I found a matching screw to resecure the bracket, but once I screwed it in a few threads it does not align with the tube coming from the pan. It is short by maybe an inch so I'm wondering if there is a joint that is missing possibly.

If someone can take a picture maybe of the middle of the dipstick tube and also where it mounts to the engine so I can compare it with what I'm working with here. Just searched my ass off and couldn't find what I was looking for. Thank you kind sirs!

You're tube might just be bent, I actually faces this today as I put my tranny back on. Just bend the pipe to the correct position.

It's a length issue not alignment, I'm short by about an inch and it doesn't look like either side is bent out of place. Anyone out there with a pic??

This what you're looking for? I don't see any extra pieces, just bracket and bolt.

Filler Tube Issue

Do you know if your pan has been replaced and is your vehicle a California emissions model? I replaced my pan and there are two different pans depending on Federal vs. California models. The Federal pan's tube that is connected to the pan has more bends than the California one, and it is slightly longer (about an inch or so). If you send me a pic of the tube coming from the pan I can tell you which one it is.

I don't believe it has been replaced but I will send a picture tomorrow. I had someone with the same model send me a picture of their dipstick/mount and mine is pretty different. I want to say that the top portion is from a different vehicle haha.

I wonder if a previous owner broke the dipstick tube, and instead of getting another identical one, got one that sort of fit, and cut the fill tube.

I saw this done on a chevy truck once, so I thought I would pass the possibility along.

Well, if its the top portion of the tube that is much easier to replace with the correct part.

May be someone replaced the pan with one from a AW4 Jeep pan..............
