Washington State? Where are you at if so? Lot's of ORV parks, Forest Service and State facilities, etc... I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction.


As for the OP. The best bet is to check if you don't know the answer. If you are interested in an area, find out who owns it and whether or not they care about you being there.

Also, seek out an off road club or regional forum. Chances are they are aware of areas you are not, and maybe they know a private land owner who allows you to drive around their property. I've learned more about trails and met more people by connecting with local groups.

I know of a couple places that are popular in the area. I just made the thread because someone on another thread stated that they lifted their truck just for looks because he has no idea where to go off-roading. I was just trying to get a dedicated list going of places around the country that people go for those who are actually interested in getting their truck dirty.

In Washington state

Evan's Creek ORV Area (Forest Service)
Tahuya ORV area (State)
Elbe ORV Area
Liberty/Cle-Elum (Forest Service)
Naches (Forest Service)

Yacolt Burn Area (State) A new area that was actually put together by ORV enthusiasts who did all of the work to make it happen.

That's just a few. On top of that, several thousand miles of forest roads, not all necessarily that intense but you can still get dirty.

I'm down in the columbia basin, so it's a couple hour drive minimum to the cascades to hit those spots. I hadn't heard of a few of them though, so thanks!
