Installing seat heaters. Does anyone know where the wire is that goes to the S/HTR FR fuse. Would like to hookup to the wire and not tap fuse box.

It's probably not there - Toyota (and other manufacturers) are good about not installing wiring to things the vehicle doesn't come with. So, there are usually not wires stowed and waiting for someone to decide to add the option they power - seat heaters for example. You will probably have to run your own and use an inline fuse or vacant spot in the fuse block.

As flyrv9 said, it may not be there.

But a way to check for sure is to get a print out of the wiring diagram for your vehicle. The wiring diagrams are available on TIS (Toyota Information System) for a subscription, or you could beg a copy of the pertinent area of the wiring diagram from your dealer. I've done that on occasion.

That hasn’t been my experience. Once upon a time I added heated seats to my wife’s Land Rover. The seats were already pre-wired and it was just a matter of plugging in two switches and swapping a trim piece.

Found the wires are at the back of the bcm. Instead of pulling it out i ran a wire to the battery and one to switched ignition from a relay. Looks clean but may change it up later.
