Negotiating a 2015 TEP - Help me Pick Her Rims from the Dealer

Hi Guys,

Newbie here about to buy his first T4R and I have a quick question.

Rims - Stock Rims or TRD 6 Spoked Beadlock-Style Optional Rim??

Are they both the same width?

My ultimate goal is to have a set of stock rims for some winter 255/80-17 Cooper ST Maxx's and a set of Aftermarket rims for a set of 285/70-17 BFG KM2 MT's (Spring/Summer/Fall)

I'm pretty sure these are the 2015 TEP Stock Rims:

What size tires and what size lift on that rig?

I would say TE rims or the TRD pro rims. Not a fan of the beadlock ones.

Stock Trails or TRD Pro's (gray or black)... the Beadlocks look ok, but not as good as the other two on a 4Runner.

Yea....I'm thinking of saving my $1700 for a set of aftermarket summer rims and putting the 255/80-17's on the stock rims for winter and plasti-dipping them black I if I get the urge for black rims year round.

Does anyone know if I'm going to have any issues with rubbing with the stock TE rims and 255/80-17's?

Yep. OEM Trail wheels already look great, and I definitely prefer the TRD Pro wheels (either black or gray--both look good) over the beadlock ones. But better tires are going to make just as big a difference in your vehicle's appearance. Maybe start with new AT tires on the OEM wheels, and drive that for a few weeks to see how you like the look?
