New 1987 owner needs some help/opinions

i did the zuk mod on mine and it hasnt taken away any performance. i used front coils off a late 90's jeep. they were big enough to slip over the bump stops. gave me lift and "in person preference" gave me a better ride. the coils were 20 bucks all together and there was no cutting to get them in.
not to mention they act as a great overload spring. i hauled a 24ft camper trailer about 60 miles after my fathers full size chevy broke down. smart idea? probly not. did it work without breaking? yes. i know that if i hadnt have had the coil springs in there it would have been riding on the frame. i think the zuk mod (done right) is a great choice for a build on a budget. specially if you use your truck as a worker/dd

Thats a really nice looking truck. I just picked up a very similar one, but way more tired.

I'm also looking at wheel options including some used 16 and 17" options from Tacomas.

There is a company in Denver that does custom leafs and front lifts.
