One of the companies owned by the fund I manage is an auto glass company. While I'm not exactly an auto industry insider, I can say that the general consensus is that Toyota has made, and continues to make, a quality product.

Another thing to consider is that most people over estimate the number of times they need the utility of a full size truck. For not a lot of money you can buy a really great trailer. It doesn't sound like you need a big diesel for hauling heavy loads and fuel efficiency is important to you.

Ford trucks are very popular for a reason, but my money is that you'll be happier with the 4Runner.

Everyone has really good points the most I might be towing is 2 jet skis but other than that I might go with a utility trailer to haul anything else.:nicethread:

I also went from having the '07 Crewmax Limited Tundra (TRD) to the 2011 T4RT. Don't regret it at all. I had the last gen Tundra also and found that I just didn't need a full size truck. Don't tow/haul much and rarely used the bed for anything I wouldn't put in the back of the SUV. In fact I hated that every time I went on vacation I would have to make a "luggage wonton" with a tarp and bungees in case of bad weather.

As for Ford, my dad is Ford guy (has been for the 30 years of my life) and I have to drive them for work. Not overly impressed; they are alright but I'll stick to Toyota.
