New lift & new look on my dad's 2000 4Runner

The truck looks so badass ! But the headlights and corner lights gotta go . I would recommend getting a new set . Taking them apart and tinting/darkening the inside of the housing.

Btw I'm really jealous of the SRT . And major mods to it ?

I agree with the tinting of the inside of the lights. I think that would give a much better end result.

Wow that's quite a transformation! Very good work! Looks really clean, which leads me to my question, how on earth did you get the front chrome and plastic bumper to look so good!? As well as the rear! They look cherry!! I really want to paint my bumpers! And would love to know how you did it! Thanks!

Thanks! And yes I agree, the headlights were reinstalled for the pics just to give it a more blacked out look to it. But what I really wanted to do is to find projector headlights for it and black out the inner housing. I don't think any company make projectors for the 3rd gen 4R, I did see a set months back in eBay and I should have bought them at that time. Now I've been looking for them again and can't find them. I might have to buy an OEM set and send them out to get the projectors installed and at the same time black out the inside as I want. Any thoughts on that?

The SRT... Just bolt-ons, fastest I've gone with it is 12.3 @ 107 but. I have the cam already waiting to go in as soon as I install the headers. Can't wait for the track to open up again this year and see what's going to run after the cam and headers are in.

Chrome bumpers were actually sold and bought new ones on eBay and had my buddy paint them. The plastic part he prep them and added a flex additive to the paint so it doesn't peel. It's been good so far, same guy painted the rims too. The gray plastic frame around the license plate was painted as well. And being debadged I think it gives it a nice touch to the back.

I did the projector retrofit and painted the inside of my headlights black. I did it all myself with absolutely no experience in this area. It was not that bad. Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can.

Thanks man! I had the LED tail lights and somehow they both went bad at the same time. I thought it was a fuse or something else, but they just went bad, I installed the stock tail lights and they work great. I had the covers so slap them on for the pics. I rarely drive with them on. Not sure if I'll be giving the LED tail another try, heck the 3rd brake light LED went bad also, half of the LEDs are not working so I slapped the stock one back on also.
Do you know any good brand of LED tails I can trust?
I think tomorrow I'll put the tail light covers back on and go out for a ride with some 80s music lol.

Tomorrow is a good day to go out and take some pics, so I'll take some of the exhaust. I'm no too happy with the exhaust, I would like the tips a little wider and a bit closer to the bumper. I might re-do it again and with a different muffler too.

Well, you'll need a socket for a dual filament bulb. I used a pair of 3157 sockets I had but
I had to modify the opening on the housing to acept my sockets and I held em in with silicone. Not sure if there's a socket for dual filament bulbs, but if there is make sure the bulb dia would fit through also. Wiring was just a matter of finding what wire does what fron the side marker and the blinker, this is where you'll need a test light. You'll need a resistor also, I had a 50W 6ohm and that one worked great. That's all there is to it. Oh yeah, a dremel will be handy too if you'll be opening the hole on the housing for the larger socket also. Hope that helps.

OK, one more thing I did to the 4Runner is this... Red seat belts.

What's your opinion? Too ricey or does it goes well with the black and red theme I'm going for? So far the only other red is the calipers.

And want to add this wheels too with the red inserts.

I like the red on black with the rims, not sure about the seat belts... they look nice but I don't know if they are overkill or not. Looks clean though!

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on this site for a while now.
The supension mods I got them from ToyTec, a lot of the other stuff I have gotten it from eBay or other online stores.
