New style of OEM running boards for TE?

So, are there nerf bars or rock rails for the TE that could be used as step, provide some door/off-roading (no boulder fields) protection that compare to these running boards?

I do need a step for a 5 year old, but would like to get the most functional solution. I really like the Demello rock rails, but this is likely over kill for a car that will go off-road, but not rock crawling..

Those are about the best looking RBs I've seen. Anybody know what I'm up against to put them on SR5?

I haven't gotten to this yet...Had a new addition to the family that has been taking all my time--and $$ :wink2:. I want to...maybe some time in the coming months... this and my memory seat mod.

TE running boards

OK, I've checked the available pics and these running boards don't look like they bolt to the frame. But do they bolt up to existing holes (like they were engineered that way) or do I have to drill out the floorboards?

all the factory running boards bolt to the spot the side skirts bolt...

Nash (or anyone) - I really like these. Did you actually determine what it would take to install these on LE or SR5? You alluded to fabbing brackets, but .... ??

...but i never got around to it yet. I wonder if the other running board brackets (SR5 and Limited) will fit these?
