I had a busy weekend. I got up early on Saturday morning and headed over to Outdoor Logic to pick up my new bumper and get it installed.
Here's a couple shots of Ryan grinding away at the stock bumper mounts:
And all mounted up:
All that's left for me to do is to finish up wiring the off-road lights.
After I left ODL, I headed over to pay a visit to Savage Offroad to pick up my sliders and skids, and to have the sliders welded on.
Here's are some sparks flying from Roy's welder:

Here are a couple shots of the skids. I just got the "front" skids for now.
Nevermind the random bolts in the last photo. I just stuck those in there to keep the threads clean while I paint them.
I spent most of today working on painting the skids and sliders. Both received a nice coat of satin black. I didn't finish until late though, and it was too dark for photos.
Thanks to Jimmy and Ryan at Outdoor Logic for meeting up with me on a Saturday. And thanks to Roy at Savage Offroad for letting me come to your place and taking the time to weld on the sliders.

Wow Jason, it sure is coming together all at once. Really liking the ODL on your truck, I was sure it would look great with your color scheme and it most certainly does! Those Savage skids look BEEFY. I like the perpendicular bracing or supports on them too. And the Camburg's, damn. Your photos rule.

Hopefully it won't take me toooo long to get back out there. I need to install the uca's, and I'm swapping the axles while I'm under there (The boots tore a couple weeks ago.) I should be able to get to those things in the next couple weeks, then re-align, then in the dirt!
Thanks dude! And yeah, the skids are certainly a lot more stout than the stockers, that's for dang sure! For their size, they're surprisingly heavy! It'll be interesting to see what kind of hit my mpg's take after all new parts are on.

MPG... whats that? I vaguely remember thinking and worrying about those, but they seem to be a very distant memory. For those who are concerned with them, a supercharger might fix them, so I've heard. lol :zoom:

Nihkon nice rig! I have the same exact 99 sr5 but stock, and a crx over here on the other side of the country which is pretty funny. I'm planning a lift and some mods soon too, but I've also been searching everywhere for aftermarket fogs to fit the stock bumper, its proving almost impossible! Was wondering if you still have yours since it looks like the whole assembly wasn't damaged in the accident judging by your pics. Thanks in advance, and thanks for sharing.

It's funny though...I got pretty spoiled with the 27-28mpg's in the CRX. I remember making fun of my boss every time he was looking for a new car because he'd be stressing over differences of 1-2 mpg's in the various car options. Now that I have a vehicle that only gets 15-16mpg's, I really notice the difference, and I know where he was coming from. The 4Runner costs roughly double in gas each month vs. the CRX.
Oh nice! I demand pics of your CRX! I do still have my stock fogs. They're the only items that I kept from the wrecked bumper. I just need to plug them in to make sure they still work. If they do, I can certainly sell them to ya.
It was about 65 bucks for the bumper install. Did not include offroad light wiring, or led turn-signal "fast flasher" fix.
Dang, I wonder why it was so much Dave?
But yeah, it was cool to chat with the guys during the install. The brown 3rd gen from the Outdoor Logic 3rd Gen Rear Plate Bumper spy thread was there while I was getting my bumper installed. It was cool to see that thing in person.
