Did you get your swingout driver, mid, or passenger?

I ordered the "triangular" version (like NateMob is running.) It puts the wheel roughly centered on the tailgate. As for hinge operation...I forgot to ask when I ordered, so I assume I'll get the default....which I believe is hinged on the passenger side.

Yeah, it's the Mini H1 HID retrofit kit from The Retrofit Source.

My CBI hybrid rear bumper showed up this week. Everything went super smooth with them. Really top notch service. And the quality of the parts are second to none. The bumper fit like a glove. It came as a nice surprise, as I'm used to the aftermarket in the Honda scene, where fitment is mediocre at best. Also, CBI was great with dealing with my custom requests.

@NateMob for posting pictures of his CBI rear bumper...alerting me to the fact that I could request this "triangular" design for the swingout, vs the default design that's on their website.

@hungwin jza80 for posting pictures of his sweet CBI rear bumper build...for letting me know that you can custom order the De-sta-co latch for the swingout. That should make it much easier to use. And for all your tips for protecting the finish.

For now, I just cleaned up the stock spare and mounted it to the wheel carrier. But soon I'll be ordering a matching wheel from FN Wheels and another Duratrac to match the other.

I haven't wired up the LED license plate light yet. I'll be tapping into the tow harness for that.

I have kind of a weird question for you. I've been looking to get those rims, but was concerned about their strength since they're so light. I see you're running pretty big tires and have the additional weight with the bumpers. How confident are you about the strength of the rims?

I know it's weird to ask because I guess you wouldn't know if they're weak unless they warped or broke. I'm planning to load down my 4Runner quite a bit for overland use. Wish there was a way for me to know if these rims would hold up to the task. Nice build btw!

Load rating on them is 2100+ per wheel. No worries man, you couldn't overload these wheels on a 3rd gen.

Man, I just checked out our CRX build on crxcommunity...I am in deep envy. I always wanted a CRX just because its hard to find a clean base in Hawaii, and they are very very light.

BTW, what camera are you shooting with?

Nate pretty much already answered this. But yeah, I'm not really concerned. When I have 8+ inches of rubber wrapped around, that tends to provide a good amount of cushion. I come from a lowered, lightweight car background, so the idea of added weight being a concern for wheels has never even crossed my radar! haha

Do it! In my opinion, they're the best looking offroad wheels. This is also from my car background. I tend to like "sporty" looking wheels like this. I can't stand 95% of the truck wheels out there. I was so stoked when FN released these!

Thanks dude! That CRX has been years and years of work! It's super fun out on the track. Do you guys have tracks out in Hawaii?

Over the years, I've shot with a Canon 20D, 50D, and now my 60D. Any photos in the past couple years are with the 60D.

Yeah, Oahu used to have a pretty killer setup. Unfortunately for them, they got shut down and luckily our island's track is still up and going. I used to have a jdm h22a swapped 2nd gen prelude (which I miss everyday), and a stupid integra type R (I swear those cars are overrated man haha)

The 60D does a pretty decent job. I kinda worked my way up to it. First the 20D, then sold that to buy the 50D, then sold that to buy the 60D.
In the end though, you can get just as good results with the cheaper models. Just don't let yourself get sucked into thinking the more expensive camera's are a requirement to capture good photos.

Good to hear the track on your island is still up and running! I've never really been a Prelude fan...but the 2nd gen's are pretty neat! If you get tired of the over-rated ITR...you should just swap the engine into a CRX. That's the setup I have, and it's super fun.

So time for an update....
Since adding the CBI rear bumper and heavy full-size spare, I've noticed a bit of sag in the rear with the OME 890's. So I ordered a set of OME 891's, since they're rated for heavier loads. They ended up raising up the rear by about 1/2". It's a little closer to where it was before adding the heavy stuff in the rear. But it's still a little low in the rear for my taste, so now I'm looking at swapping out the 891's for either the Toytec Superflex or the LC 8 wraps. I still have to do some research on that. Anyway, here's a crappy phone picture of the 891's installed:

For anyone that's paid attention, you might've noticed that I posted a photo about a year ago of all the parts for the Tundra 13wl brake upgrade...but I never posted any photos of them installed. Well...that's because I lagged, big time. After a year of sitting on the parts, I finally installed them recently! haha

Here is the stack of parts:

New 13wl calipers from Napa
Brembo rotors
Toyota pads and shims

They didn't make it into that photo....but I also picked up front and rear stainless steel brake lines from Wheelers Offroad. The front lines are stock length, but the rear line is extended (roughly 2-3")

I was lucky enough to be able to use the lift at my brother's shop. That helped make the swap super easy!

I went on a camping trip a couple weekends ago out in Johnson Valley. It wasn't intended as a wheeling trip, but I did sneak away for a little bit to get out on what little dirt/rocks there were out there. Here are a few photos from the trip:
