nihkon's 4Runner

Looking good Jason.
You will really like the 5.29's, they'll be sweet for your ride.
Did you get the spindle gussets on yet?

Drive it everywhere and rack up them break in miles! Then off to some tough trails to test out the new upgrades!!!:clap2:
Lol! Will do brutha!

I knew I recognized that driveway! Jason is the man and anyone within driving distance to Vista that needs install work done should hit him up. The 4Runner looks great!
Thanks!
Yeah, Jason is a cool dude, and he certainly knows his way around the underside of Toyotas!

Thanks Mike!
And lol, nope I didn't get those spindle gussets installed yet. It was never something that was super high on my priority list. I was only gonna have you do it since Davey was getting his done at the same time, so it kinda made sense. But yeah, eventually I'll get those on! haha
From some research, it doesn't seem like anyone else with the 3rd gen 4Runner has had that clearance issue we were running into. I think most just slightly bend that brake hardline to make some room.

That makes sense. Whenever you want to weld on your rig, let me know.
We’ll need to plan a trip next month. I’m damn close to completing
my build... just need to weld on a different set of shock tabs on the rear Diamond.

Cool man! Thanks for the offer!

Oh yeah! Davey was telling me that you were getting those rear shocks mounted! I can't wait to see it again, and see it getting dirty on the trails!
I just need to finish my break-in and change the fluids, then I'll be ready! Though....I'll probably still have to contend with some rubbing out on the trails. I still haven't properly clearanced for the 35's. lol

Maybe we can hit up Corral Canyon/Sidewinder. I've been itching to try out that trail again.

Kick ass!

I'm about 2/3 through my break-in. The miles aren't adding up too quickly since I work only about 9 miles from home. lol And I've been too busy to just take it out for long drives.
Getting closer though!

Nice... should be great off road.
My shocks are complete, added a 2nd air tank and moved the spare to the bed.

Let's do this!

That turned out so good dude! It'll be good to finally see that thing get dirty!

Your picture reminds me that I still need to make time to install my Viair system. It's been in a box in the garage for like 2.5 years! haha Maybe this summer I'll finally tackle that project.

Man I just read the entire thread, really enjoyed it!!! What a good looking truck you have. I really loved it when it was on the 285s. The 35s are sick too though and I'm sure it makes it way more capable! Should be awesome with the new gears I'm sure.

It's been a while since I've looked over a 3rd gen build but yours looks great. Makes me sort of want to renew mine but two projects might be a bit much. Also love the CRX. I haven't always been a fan but yours might make me reconsider. I've been on the hunt for an EF hatch but who knows it's so hard to find a decent EF anything now a days. Anyway props on your build man. Keep up the good work.
