Thai, I will never understand where you get off saying the things you have said about me.
I shouldn't have been doing technical support? Are you kidding me? Do you not realize how many people have used my lift write-up to install their kits - even before NE? The issue was not with technical things - the issue was with the quality of the spacers themselves, and the fact that customers were being misled. If you question my involvement, ask people how many personal emails I sent apologizing for telling them what Anthony told me to (ONLY REGARDING SHIPPING DATES) only to find out that he had not lived up to his own promises.
You keep acting like I am inept at understanding spacer technology - I may not have made the spacers myself because as I stated, I never had all the necessary parts to do so, but I absolutely understand the questions that go with the lift. I wrote the FAQ on the site, I answered questions myself and I never needed Anthony to guide me through it. Hence why I was able to devote my time to that while he supposedly devoted his time to design and his architectural degree.
You are so insulting Thai, it is unbelievable to me. Your personal dislike for me is something I do not understand in the first place but the least you could do is not resort to personal attacks and other public expressions of your hatred.
How can you guys keep comparing this to Martha Stewart and Enron? I quit my job because as much as I tried to get him to change things, he never did and so Igot out of the business because I did not agree with sending crappy kits or continually not living up to promises of timely shipping.
I was tired of having to apologize for other people, and despite my attempts to confront him about it and his promises to change, nothing ever did - so I quit.
I got no money out of it, I have never been paid a cent for my work there, and Anthony withheld my shares in the company from me and distributed them among his new workers who are closer friends of his. So what exactly about this is like Enron or Martha Stewart? I quit a job, people quit jobs every second of the day.
Are you actually telling me you'd be more respectful toward me if I had stayed in that mess, shrugged off the lies, and refused to stand up for what I believed in?
I don't give a damn if you wouldn't send me a cent of your money. But to imply that I am incapable of pouring two parts, mixing them, and pouring them into a mold is incredibly insulting.
You are not playing the devil's advocate, Thai, you are giving me a hard time for the sake of trying to give me a hard time and trying to hurt me and seeing how far you can push a person that you dislike. Congratulations, Thai.
As for you, EDGE, when it seems like the cool thing to do is insult/attack me, you join in despite what you know of me. I am not so gullible as to be ignorant of what you are doing.
Was I naive? Yes and NO. It is not naive to believe the best about people, and to believe that change is possible - especially when you have no reason to doubt it from them. But yes, naive in believing certain instances of more serious lies.
I cannot believe the amount of crap you guys are giving me for quitting when I am not the reason people are complaining. I didn't make the kits - I understood the kits only through my understanding of and experience with Revtek's kit and spacer kits in general. Do I know anything about sliders? Hardly. But one thing I will not let you imply is that I should not have done the technical customer service - I answered every question that was thrown at us, and Anthony himself continually thanked me for the answers I gave and my understanding of how it all worked.
I want someone to tell me how exactly ANY of this resembles Enron or Martha Stewart.
I haven't destroyed the proof I have of everything I've said. I haven't (nor ever did) stand to make any money off of any of this. All I took into it was the desire to help people and the enjoyment I had in working on my truck, and my morals - I gave NE many chances to fix the issues I had with the product quality and the dishonesty. When it became clear to me that nothing was changing, I quit.
Do I think I could've made the kits and kept people happy? Yes. Because I had more free time to devote to it than AK, and because I would not have told people their kits were ready if they weren't. I would've been making the kits and therefore I would know without any doubt, the status of the kit and its quality. If I said it would ship that day, then it would ship that day.
I can't control Anthony. I can't make him do what he says he will, or when he says he will. I can't control the quality of the kits he ships out or the paint he uses. Those were the reasons why I continually confronted him and insisted that these things needed to change. Ask him how many times I told him that my kit was crap, and how many times he agreed that the quality of the one he sent me was crap, and how many times I told him that I was sick of him not living up to what he said he would do as far as shipping, and how I warned him that if those things were not fixed, people would start complaining despite his best efforts to suggest their silence.
I was a customer just like everyone else, and had I not been trying so hard to remain loyal and aid in the changes that needed to be made by encouraging him to make those changes, then you bet I would've come out and said something. If I had not truly thought he realized the importance of changing those things and that he actually would, I would have quit the day I received my NE kit. You don't realize that I went through the same thing when I bought my own NE kit - the same promises about when it was shipping and the status of the kit itself - only to find a week later it hadn't even been made. The extent of my frustration was very much due to the fact that I knew how it felt as a customer to feel like you were being mislead. The kit was not the only occasion in which I went through that with him.
Fault me for believing in someone that I had no reason, at the time, to doubt, and that's fine. But I pity you if you could be as cold as to never have believed enough to give a person a second chance.
"fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me" ... isn't that how it goes? i got tired of it. I got out of the situation because things were not getting any better.
And just so you know, I am more than capable of doing customer service when it comes to tire sizes that will fit with a certain amount of lift, all you'll have to do to fit them without rubbing, how to install a lift kit, how the components work, etc.
You, (Thai, and EDGE) have done a magnificent job shifting the focus and blame here. Unfortunately for you, you are absolutely wrong in the things you are saying/implying, and if I hadn't already been threatened multiple times for talking, then I would have absolutely no issue with proving every statement I have made.
But believe me, it says a LOT about you that you are faulting me for getting out of a business with which my morals did not agree. It implies that if you were in a similar situation, knowing all the dishonesty that was going on and that things were not getting any better, you would remain in the company. Why? For the money? For fear? What?
I was never paid and never received anything out of my involvement with NE - I gained nothing by staying but the chance to help and watch Anthony and other people's happiness increase. All I gained from leaving was the knowledge that I had done the right thing, morally, as nothing was changing and the lies continued as more people got involved in NE as employees.
