non-OEM Seat Heater with Factory Fuse - How To

Has anyone located this other thread? I'm not quickly finding it, though i have 20 treads ive looked thru on this top.

Im also looking for any info on the 6 wires from the factory OEM switches.. was going to try and integrate these. Thank you!

here is seat heater diagram. Keep in mind there are 2 wires off each switch not shown here that are for the illuminated and dimmable night light in each.

Relays used or removed?

To anyone that has installed their seat warmer with by tapping into the the green wire and moving the relay.

I know to remove the inline fuses since this will use the fuse under the hood, but what about the relays on the harness for the heat pads?

Do those need to be removed since this setup will be using the relay under the hood?

Hard to say without looking at your specific harness, but I would just leave them in. The factory relay is for controlling power to the seats. Some aftermarket seat heaters use relays to control how the heating elements are controlled.

I left the inline fuses (behind the HVAC panel) as they were lower amperage, and for each individual seat. But I need to remember that in case one blows.
I don't see it as being needed...

I don't recall installing any relays inside the cabin.
