anyone know of any local trails or places to go in the north jersey area? im just looking to go exploring the 4runner and figured id ask if anyone knew anything around the area. Sussex/Morris county area?

Have you looked at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park? Rausch Creek Off-Road Park
I haven't been but I dying to get out. I just got the truck in April. Maybe we can get a ride together. It only takes two vehicles.
Another option is the Pine Barons but the parks have been closed along with a lot of trails. The only thing I've found so far is sandy flat roads with some small mud pits.

I believe Stag Hill Rd in Mahwah has some trails. co-ordinates 41.107214, -74.181318, I'm an hour and half away and have never had a chance to check it out. If you don't mind driving south then there are a few trails in the Jackson collier mills area.

Been up there on my quad. Really steep hills and big rocks. I would not take anything nice up there. And not exactly legal either.

I've been wheeling with a few buddies recently in The Jefferson area. Didn't take my runner but tagged along. I'll find out where since I can't remember.
There was also a north to south NJ trail run another user organized that started in Sussex (I think) and went to south NJ. I think the trails they all used where public

Last minute plans. I'm trying to put a group together to go to Rausch Creek tomorrow Sunday 9/17. I'm thinking of trails in the 4-5 range.

Hey 4Runner Peeps - new to off road wheeling scene, bone stock 4Runner and would like to get my feet wet and rubber dirty. Stag Hill is nearby me and checking to see if any members nearby plan on heading there any time soon. Prefer to explore first few times in a group or with someone who knows area and the lines to guide me along THANKS IN ADVANCE
Not sure how patrolled it is as I don't believe it's legal. Is it still accessible and do people still go there?
