Oh yeah i remember cool! That was a really fun run and great couple of days. I remember your 1st gen. I love the 1st gens hopefully i can build one out one of these days.Yeah that would be cool i'd definitely like to get down again before the end of the year if i could. Maybe for the turkey trot run if i'm around. If not yeah we should def organize a nice 4runner run down there! I went down there again for the 4runner Jamboree with a few 5th gens but i feel like the overall turnout in general was really that big. We gotta get these 4runner guys to step their game up haha
Haha yeah the Plasti dip is pretty cool and i feel like it's also a cheaper cooler way to protect your paint underneath. Ahh man i'm waiting on my bumper right now from AOR and should hopefully have it before Thanksgiving , I've had my winch sitting here for the last 2 months just waiting for the bumper so i can put it on!

I think I'll probably end up doing that when I'm home over Christmas. My paint is beyond repair at this point so might as well.

You guys should Def do it! Just take your time and make sure you do the proper prep and then start off with nice light coats 4-5 then the rest heavier coats. If you do too many light coats or mostly light coats you'll end up with a lot more texture like i did.

Finished up my Satoshi Grill yesterday!
I like the emblem you choose for your grill a lot! I saw you mentioned it being from a FJ, but what year?

I believe it's from a 70 series FJ they normally come all white letters but i painted min. There is a really good thread on here with all the info on Satoshi grills and i got the emblem off of on of the links in the first post.

Been a little while since i've done a update in here: I recently took a little road trip in the 4runner for the first time down to SC for Thanksgiving. Had a great time and was able to get in a great day of wheeling with all the guys from down south at Uwharrie to top off the end of the trip!
Before hand though i just finished off a few things on the to do list and a little prep maintenance.
Finally got my rear extended brake lines in as well as my extended bump stops to almost complete the MT long travel kit (i still need the lower links) I hope santa checks this forum! I was also able to get in the daystar 1.5 spacer in on the driver side while i had it on the lift so now it's leveled out pretty good in the rear happy about that. Then i just did some regular maintenance before the longg drive oil, i also changed all the front rear and Tcase Diff oils for the first time,I used Aemsoil 75/90 synthetic gear oil ( i thought i was gonna throw up:barf: omg that shit stinks) But it was a pretty simple and straight forward process,the only pain in the ass is that you have to remove all of your skids. I also noticed both of my CV boots were starting to leak a little bit so i cut off the old boot band and put on some new hose clamps which did the trick, the boots were still in great shape!
Now on to the fun stuff:becky: I met up with [MENTION=68704]superman3043[/MENTION] who organized a great run at Uwharrie also along with [MENTION=65653]aha2988[/MENTION] and [MENTION=47269]Darklight[/MENTION] who were all awesome hosts and many others from T4R and got to spend the day wheeling. Had a great time and everybody was super cool I'm really glad i got to make it down! Anyways enough talking on to the pics. Here's some that i took but there's a ton more in the off-roading section in the Uwharrie thread..

Jared, great pictures man. It was great to meet you and your brother in law. Had a really good time out at Uwharrie. Your rig is looking great and is modded appropriately. It did very well out there and I hope you had a couple good chances to “put it in 4 wheel drive”, haha. Checking out your build and looking forward to seeing that new addicted offroad bumper soon! Hopefully we can catch up again soon and I can have some fun in mine too, lol.

Yeah we had a blast,I'm really glad i got to make it down and yes i'm always happy whenever my trucks in 4wheel (preferably 4LO) haha but yeah awesome time man and i will definitely be making it down in the future so we can run all the trails again and when you have your truck back! Bummed i didn't get to see your rig as i've gone thru your build many times. Next time for sure bro...

Yeah man that would be cool,we'll get another good run going! I still didn't hit all the fun trials as we ran out of time towards the end of the day and we got held up on dickey hill because of a broken Jeep(what are the odds:behindsofa
And there was a ton of backed up trucks on both ends so that killed like 1 hour 1/2

Got my Addicted Off Road bumper installed last night! We actually did 3, mine,J053619 and NJshadow93. Great night of modding and installing till about 4am. I'll let them post up their pics(i only have crappy cell pics right now anyways)
I couldn't be happier with the new bumper it's Better than I expected it really compliments and changes the whole aesthetics of the truck! This bumper is solid! It really fits nice and snug, it couldn't get any closer to the body and frame. The approach angles are ridiculous. Thanks again Scotty [MENTION=17736]AddictedOffroad[/MENTION] for a Badass bumper!
