I got mine from midatlantictoyotaparts.com for $47.04 ea and $13.37 for shipping. Totaled @ $107.45.

Yes, they do. Here is a link to a post I made previously showing the mirror before switching on the heater and after. You can see that the blind spot portion is as warm as the rest of the mirror:

I just wish you wouldn't have to spend $200 on this "upgrade" when it's standard on 75% of vehicles these days!

Some dealers will sell them as low as 45 each.

As I said when I first did this mod based on Victor's recommendation, is that the stick on convex mirrors actually work better than these mirrors, but these are OEM and frankly SHOULD have been on the vehicle to begin with.

paid 45.xx each + 11 dollars shipping. I decided on oem mainly because of the snowy winters and the heater element under the blindspot

You don't have to spend money - you could also adjust your mirrors more outwards to eliminate the blind spot.
There is no blindspot with our mirrors if they are adjusted correctly (you should not see the side of your car in them)

i've seen that before. the blindspot mirror doesn't detract from the mirror, it adds more. More is better..

Oh - okay. The ones I have seen did't add anything and had the disadvantage of showing any blindspot traffic in a much smaller area versus showing that traffic in the big main mirrors.

Will check out the RAV4 mirrors at a dealer and see what this is about

All depends on driver's preference. I'm glad Rav4 style is not in my 4Runner. I hate small mirrors like in some sedans and especially I hate these "insert" type mirrors. For me they just make an area of the main mirror smaller and I still can't see a sh$$ in those small inserts anyway (the image is to small and has no "continuity" to the main mirror image).

For me, correctly adjusted mirrors are giving no blind spot on either side. As soon as the passing car leaves the rear view mirror I see it in the side mirror until I see it by the side window with peripheral vision. There is one additional benefit to that setup - if some moron is following me with LED or HID bulbs in reflector type headlights I don't get blinded from side mirrors.

I just did a road trip in baby mamas RAV4 and wished my 4R had those mirrors. This is the best thing I’ve read all month.

Just finished the install/upgrade.

I spent more time psyching myself up to tear my old mirrors out,

then I did removing the old part and installing the new one...

It didn't help that the postman delivered the mirrors in a box like the beginning of Ace Ventura!
