Good thing is they are definitely sticking to the off-road marketing plan. Don't often see an unwaxed, let alone damaged, vehicle in a promo picture.

I think it was the ordering guide linked in this thread that had some basic specs:

I think it's the Canadian version, and according to my printout:
H: 70.1"
W: 75.8"
L: 189.8"
Tires: 265/70-17 or 245/60-20
There's another thread with the U.S. version that doesn't have as many specs if I recall correctly.

I like the white one from car and driver. Overall, I like what I am seeing. I spoke to a friend of mine who is a Toyota service manager and he feels Toyota will roll out with the V8 for the 4Runner within 2 years. The new 4.6 is getting better gas mileage in the Tundra than the current V6. One can only hope.

No worries,those will be offered eventually;it's not uncommon for pre production press models not to be fully optioned since some of those details are still being sorted out.
I like what I see so far since it does look a lot less soft than I was expecting and does seem to be returning to a more 3rd gen feel. Am actually excited about this new Runner.
Why, why not this?!! Make zero sense that the US is not able to get these...

I WANT IT....trade anybody? I saw that just now on AUTOBLOG...It's the first post. I'm glad to see it out. I'm really really curious about the interior. Those pictures are ok, but whatcha gonna do about spy shots.
I wonder if they will have a version that has the wash away interior. I knew this day would come, I thought I'd be really jealous, but I don't mind. Looking at the overall pictures, I don't know if I'm sold with the "box" like front end. It kinda reminds me of a (now don't flame me) a Scion Xb on steroids. Very up front windshield like the FJ. Kinda cool...gotta get used to it...It's gonna be interesting. I can't wait to test drive though. We'll see.
...and I thought I heard there might have been push button start. Guess not...well as far as I can see with those pictures...I don't think so....I do want the steering wheel though. Can you swap those out?

They need to fix the body tears first, thats what killed the FJ for me and pushed me back into a 4 Runner. I dont like push buttons, my last Z had one and no key back up. The interior does look more FJish (esp that center console) and the exterior looks more Highlanderish. Cant say I like the styling until I see one in the flesh.

Looks like they are following the latest Toy common truck styling tweeked to fit. Less rake to the windshield; snub nose (like a Tundra/FJ); swept back at the lights; trapezoid shapes and rear light lines. Maybe trying to capture some of the FJ demographic if they are discontinuing it.

imp:Are you sure they are discontinuing the FJ? That debate seems to go back and forth. Last I heard there was going to be a 2010 FJ.
The white one (looks like a Limited with the 20 in wheels) looks odd, for some reason. Certain angles remind me of the previous gen RAV4. Is that a black spot a mast antenna hole?
The photo of the greyish one looks pretty nice, and the rear of the silver looks good too. Not sure if I like the minimalist rear bumper. Looks like parking sensors on it too?
Interior is hard to judge; I don't like dark interiors. Will wait to see what the beige interior looks like. Also, I'm guessing that is a TE or SR5 interior?
