Anybody know what this means, electrical problem or 4runner trying to tell me something specific is wrong? Thought my wife was crazy when she told me what it was doing when she was driving but in fact she was right. First time.

I usually close my door before going too fast.......:driving:

No clue, sorry. If your doors are really closed - including the rear, I would be heading off to the dealer.

Does it happen all of the time?

^^This would be my first thought, rear not closed tight^^

Not sure slamming it will help though :p

Good luck!

Ditto to the previous replies. It happened to me before. I had no clue what it was. I then realized it was the "door open" alarm. Checked all doors and nothing, but turned out it was the back door. Just opened, re closed and no more problem. Just probably didn't latch or was a soft close. Give it a try.

As others have said, check the back. I had this same problem one cold New England night. I first thought I was having electrical problems with such a new vehicle, but luckily it wasn't. What surprised me was the buzzing noise and then my rear hatch lights would start to flash. It was quite noticeable at night time which clued me in on the hatch being partially open.

any dash lights go on, or just the noise? I had the same thing happen last year with the tailgate.

It happened to me once before. I think it was one of the rear door. the truck had been in a condition that it thinks that the rear door was shut properly which was not. Then when start moving, the door looses and it reported door open.
