Options installed in the US - any flexibility?

I'm getting mixed messages from dealers (imagine that!). Some say they can't change the options listed on the Monroney, others indicate that some changes can be made. One said options can be deleted, except for Toyoguard since they have a contract with Toyota that all vehicles have to come with Toyoguard. Personally, I don't see the value in Toyoguard. I'm also not excited about paying $73 for a few phone charging cables, $449 for floor mats, $648 for paint protection film, etc. I don't have a problem paying for options that I actually want.

Does anyone know from personal experience if these so-called "options" can be deleted? What do you hear from dealers you have talked with?

Yes they have flexibility. If they want to exercise it. First dealership we visited, said we couldn’t get rid of the Off Road Upgrade Package. I knew better, and overall, didn’t get a warm fuzzy feeling from that dealership.

The dealership we are buying from, had the package on it, but when I said I didn’t want it, he went on the computer and made it disappear. They have been a pleasure to deal with so far.
