Ordering GOBI

started working on the install. I had an old ladder on it already so I started with that. I noticed they redesigned the ladder mounts... MUCH BETTER!

Out of curiosity, what were you changing and what was it pertaining to for wiring?
 
Sigh... yet another awesome product I want, with absolutely piss poor customer service.

I completely understand long-lead times, I have them in my own industry, but we pick up the damn phone when our customers call.

Personally when I spend thousands of dollars on stuff, it would be great to have someone pick up the phone to service their customers.

Same reason I just wont buy from Fox.. unless you are someone special calling on a secret line, good luck.
 
Mine finally came yesterday. No shipping confirmation or anything...just got a call from the freight company out of the blue. 12 weeks for me.

TD told me via email last week that Gobi told them it was shipping this week. No word. Sent an email to TD this morning asking for status. It's been over 14 weeks now, not a big deal except finding out more and more people have ordered after me have received theirs in twelve weeks or less.
 
Where do I get answers on what can and cannot be customized when ordering these racks? So far I've had zero responses from my email inquiries.

This is the email statement from TD you'll want:
"Your order has been shipped by Gobi and will be with you in 5-10 business days depending on the route used by the freight company. If your order is delivering to a residential address, the freight company will call you prior to delivery."
 
Call them in the morning or after 5:00 mountain. I had good luck with them in the afternoon and others have had good luck in the morning.
 
TD didn't respond to my email from this morning. Called Gobi, same old line, "I'll check warehouse and call you, if not today then Monday morning." Suffice it to say this is the third date or date range that was quoted that wasn't met. I almost want to cancel out of principle.

Got a call from the delivery company. Gobi never called me back from Friday morning and TD never responded to my email and order status still shows as pending. Needless to say, excited to install the rack which will definitely not have the Gobi logo on it. LOL

You can remive the sticker but The "Gobi" name is cut into the steele brackets.
Its a painful wait but it's worth it to me. You're gonna be happy. It's well made and they have improved the design to fit nicely. Two man job for sure.
