It's an easy install for two. The faring needs some tweaking. I need to work on it a little more. Driver's side isn't sitting like I want.

Love the no-rise option. That's what I have ordered as well.

Definitely a two man job. It wasn't technically difficult but was tedious.
Finished up after dark. Still need to mount the faring and ladder this weekend. Also need to do the wiring for the light bar. Long wait but worth the results. Still removed the Gobi sticker on the faring. LOL

yes install wasn't difficult but time consuming. Ripped the GOBI sticker off of mine as well, just got to get my rigid 40 bar wired up this weekend and I will be done!

Looks Good! Ya, I'm going to take the GOBI sticker off too. Looks better without it. My rack did not come with internal wires. Did you have to request that?

It's my understanding that they stopped the option for wiring. What they mean by 40" light bar ready is that there are mounting plates bolted on to the rack so all you have to do is bolt in your light bar. The plates are etched saying 40" light bar and indicate passenger or driver side and they do slide to accommodate smaller or larger light bars.

I just got off the phone with Trail Duty and he said mine will be wired from to back. I just placed my order again last Friday and actually got a pretty good deal. Stealth rack with sunroof insert, fairing, ladder, gas struts, spare tire carrier and tool box and LED bar ready cost me $1800

Sure once I get to the wiring installation. Definitely doing the ladder and faring this weekend. If time allows I'll do the wiring too but probably the following weekend...with a baby I have to use my time judiciously.

Well I ordered mine July 6th, so I'll know for sure with in a month. Kinda hope that the wires don't run in side the rack. It would be a rust factory.

Ordered the Gobi stealth last week from Trail Duty. I was thinking about getting the Baja utility rack with ladder and struts so I wouldn't have to wait as long. After pricing both with shipping costs, there was about $100 difference. I prefer the quality and look of the Gobi. Ordered my GOBI directly from them on 5/31 and then a couple weeks later called to change my order to the custom "no rise" in front. They were early on enough in the process they said "sure no problem" and charged me an extra $150. Rack was delivered 9/12 and I finished installing it today with my buddy Chris. VERY HAPPY with the rack & I have literally NO noticeable wind noise at hwy speeds, even with the moonroof shade open. With the moonroof open I don't really have any increased noise at all either. I must have dialed in the fairing perfectly I guess.

Yeap. Worked out great. Last night run one of my buddies was impressed enough that he decided he had to have one of these lightbars for his 4Runner.

As far as the rear ladder. You definitely need rear struts. Nothing worse than your hatch not opening all the way or failing prematurely when your under it. That thing is extremely heavy. Anyways, fyi there are other alternatives to the expensive struts. You can do a quick search for alternative and find the. If I remember correctly under $100 for the pair of struts. I have them and have had on for about a year without any issues at all. You are welcome to see my thread. I do believe I have that info in there as well.
See the post below for the strut information. These are the same struts that I received. There customer service was great, I did call to order to verify my purchase as this was before they where listed on their website.
