Since installing my Clarion HU, Party Mode didnt work, rendering the switch useless. That is until today! I decided to use the switch as my toggle, in order to bypass the video while in motion safety. I know every HU is different, but mine only requires a pulse ground while powering up and then steady ground after that. All I did was pull the trim around the button and unplug the harness. I metered out the switch to see how the circuit responded to the switch position, seeing as there are 4 pins on the switch. The 2 outer most pins on the switch complete a circuit when the switch is in the "on/in" position. I put a female spade connector on the lead wire from the HU that is supposed to go to the e-brake and one on a wire going to ground. Then I squeezed one side on each of the spades so it was almost closed tight. Gently slide them onto to the pins and put everything back together. I leave my switch in the "on/in" position, after I start my ride and see the Clarion logo appear, I press the button twice in a row and voila!! Gives a whole new meaning to Party Mode :banana:
