Agreed! The bow wake is important, but if you only rely on that, you are asking for trouble. If you will be doing water crossings where the waterline may approach the intake, you NEED a snorkel, otherwise......well, a new engine may be in your future, and worse than that, when you hydrolock the rest of your car will be overtaken potentially. One piece of terrain (under the water) or brake could blow your bow wake.....

Yup! That's why I have a snorkel

For instance I wouldn't try this with a stock intake and no front OEM bumper cover.

Ironically this exact water crossing (Mojave River) was what compelled me to buy a snorkel.

That water crossing isn't nearly as deep as it's made to sound or look. That photo shows the bow wave (it's not a wake) which is usually much taller than the following water levels.

Stock vehicles can do the water crossing for the Mojave Rd. In fact we did it about 10 times for photos:

[MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] when we were there it was after a heavy rain. I went in about 20% through and a lifted Dodge Ram in front of me hydrolocked his engine and had to be winched out. That was enough for me to turn around.

Just ordered my front bumper this past week! Now I'm looking into which for lights to purchase. Does anyone know the dimensions of the two fog light openings?

I've just been looking into lights that are similar to the Baja designs lights they suggest but want sure if there are other restrictions I should worry about.
