Nice pics. I am excited to see the new 4R, but they will likely be slim in my area for a while.
While I dont agree with them I do see the reasoning behind the engine choices, Id say that between the scars from the combo of $4/gal+ gas and the bad economy right now Toyota is looking to maybe break into another market and perhaps steal some of the crossover market back. And lets face it, most people I think who will buy a 4 cyl 4R will be grocery getters. What soccer mom wouldnt want a 4R that gets 26 mpg? After having both engines I can say the V6 is certainly very capable, the new tuned up version will be even more so. For all the talk of going back to its roots, the 4R never came with a V8 always a 4 or 6 so whats the big deal? I think the V8 was just to take a stab at a luxury/hard core niche that is dissappearing.
