Pine Barrens, NJ: Wheeling and Meet Ups

I have a lot of good dash cam footage. Since [MENTION=70746]DeeBreezy[/MENTION] was in front of me for a good portion of it, there's plenty of good shots of him. I just have to edit all that raw footage.

Sweet! im looking foward to it. Man that was alot of fun...im gonna be getting the mud out for weeks!

i guess my e-brake cable took a hit(?) because it stopped working after the trip. it used to be nice and tight, now i can easily yank it all the way to the top without it engaging the brake. im going to take a look at it tomorrow, hopefully its just something small...nothing as catastrophic as urs mike!

It was definitely a fun, yet expensive trip. I'm getting my truck back tomorrow (I have school tonight). Unfortunately I didn't get the whole trip on camera. I didn't get that one mud whole that Gene took a big nose-dive in unfortunately. But I got lots of other stuff. This week I'll try to have it all done and cut excess footage out. I got a few minutes before we got to the pit, and everything after that.

So my alternator drank a little too much water It's in a need of replacement the other thing I just got some really bad noises from the wheels area and it might be something like a foul pump hopfully not
In edition to that my front License plate was lost and I paid $60 for a new one...
It was a real fun trip but defenatly expensive !

That sucks Moshe! Invest in a metal license plate frame and some solid screws. My plate hasn't budged at all, didn't even bend a little.

I actually did... Just didn't put it b4 the trip but I think that just the smallest $ that I needed to spand to get it back as a dd...

Got my truck back today. Felt so good to drive it home! Got home and washed my engine and undercarriage. Took it to the shop that installed my axles 5k miles ago and they are going to file a claim. Hopefully I will be reimbursed for the axle.

Well since it happened when I pulled out of the parking lot, I guess wheeling is irrelevant layball: . The guy agreed it was ridiculous to fail at 5 months and 5k miles.

This is how I found it at the dealer today:

The guy said they ran it through the car wash twice lol

Got home and gave it a more thorough car wash. Cleaned the engine, undercarriage, and everything else. Happy to have it back.

So. Maybe I am just being parnoid but my truck is making a whine from the motor. Kind of sounds like I have a s/c. Anyway, I chalked it up to water on the belt system blah blah blah. I washed the bay out when I got home and it is a little quieter now. I am just concerned that there is something behind a pully or the p/s pump or alternator. Should I give it a week and see if it goes away or start digging into it before something brakes?

After everything we did that day I am highly suprised with the cabilites of the 4runner. Even on my 5/32 highway tires.

I have the same noise. I havent noticed any difference in the driveability of the truck, the noise is concerning me though. Im sure there is a ton of sand up in places that i will never reach...

I have had that whine since October or whenever I went to the pines with you guys.

I just got new pulleys and there is still a supercharger sound. I'm thinking it might be my fan clutch assembly. Not sure

Well, my brakes started grinding. Gonna need new driver side rotors. I had the whine too, but mine appears to be coming from my rear brakes?

I finally washed it today, not too thrilled about the scratches I found but the missing mudflap and crack in the bumper are less thrilling, I also have a light on the bumper thats 1/4 of the way full of water. I dumped what I could and will go in with the air nossle later and see how much I can blow out.
I have a bit of a whine too but not sure if it was there before I washed it, I am letting it dry and will go for a ride later. Worst case I will take it to the dealership and have them take a look at it.

Hmm. I have the scratches too, nothing the buffer wont take out.

I have tons of grease on the passenger side now. Not sure if my other axle is leaking or if it's from the driver side exploding. I'll probably take it in tomorrow and have them check it out. At least it's all still under warranty.

Front or rear mud flap? I have extra front ones. I'll give one to you if you want.
