Hey listen, there's no need for that. I just said the same thing you did. Bottom line is I just don't need one where I live. I'm more likely to be hit by a car, suffer a heart attack, etc. I'd be better off carrying around an AED as the odds are greater it would save my life.

No, you said the people here suck. That's completely different than saying a government or dictator sucks.

While I recognize that not every country trusts its citizens to own weapons, we do. I don't own a gun, but I respect the choices of those who do. While your country was still a hot mess, our founding fathers guaranteed our citizens the right to keep and bear arms as a hedge against governmental tyranny and as a last line of defense against foreign invasion. We threw off the yoke of the monarchy in favor of self-rule and you still emboss the queen's face on your money to this day. Moreover, hundreds of thousands of lives were lost defending our rights and I'm personally insulted when someone belittles any one of them.

As one of your fellow Americans I'd like to point out that I own 3 guns but don't feel the need to carry them around my neighborhood. That's just my neighborhood though. There are plenty of places in Canada where it might be a good idea just like there are plenty of places in the US where you don't need to.

Stop trying to turn this into a US vs. them argument. You have about as much knowledge in these situations as you do about air filters. Maybe you should take a weekend course on it?

Lol my father-in-law bought my mother-in-law a judge for her bday. She was not happy at all. But the one day he didn't have it in his car, a freaking copperhead snake slithered on by us at his farm.

I carry my Glock 23 in my glove box with Federal "personal protection" rounds. I hope I'm never in a situation to have to use them. My wife has an internal hammer Smith and Wesson .38+P revolver. It's nice because you can pull the trigger from inside a purse and the hammer won't get caught on something.

the internal hammer .38s a nice choice. would be a good choice for IWB carry too if she didnt have a purse.

i just like the fact that you can load a mix of .410 and .45 colt into the judge. makes taking care of snakes and people better :flamethrwoer2:.

The Springfield Armory XDM 9mm is pretty nice. My wife and I are getting a handgun that we both can use and that was one that we were looking at. In the end, I decided to keep hunting for the elusive Browning HP MKIII. I like the durability of the steel frame and the reliability that comes with a 90 year-old design. Plus, it fits both our hands better.

I've got a Maadi, it's been shooting great; not a single jam so far.
I also take the AK out camping and stuff, but sometimes you forget or just don't want to lug it around (My shoulder strap is a *****). A little .357 would be pretty reliable for such trips.

Anyways, good simple mod for those who can conceal.

It's just a Century, but I liked the blacked out style. I felt like I was able to get fairly good accuracy out of it. And it was easy to blow through a lot of ammo I've been keeping it clean and have noticed no problems. It's nice to have the stopping power of the AK and it is fairly simple to shoot. Helps me sleep comfortably when I am in the middle of nowhere!

SeattleMike seems to equate freedom with the having the right to carry. I on the other hand equate freedom with living in a society where I don't even have to contemplate the need to carry.
