I spent a long time carrying thinking about where it would be a quick pull and out of sight for other's yet I didn't have to have it on me on long drives or when i just leave it in the truck.. I have it mounted on a steering column angle recessed by the e-brake. works well, people cant see it looking into the window or passengers in the front and keeps my console open for bullets! :uzi:

Apparently you missed the subtlety of my post but the word gay has more than just the one meaning. In fact, for more than 900 years the word gay was also a descriptive term indicative of happiness, being carefree, or brightly colored and forms the root of the word gaiety, which no one uses in a homosexual connotation. If you had a more rounded vocabulary, you would have gotten the joke.

You seem to have created an account with the sole purpose of attacking me personally. Calling me a homophobe only supports that view. You're wrong, but that is beside the point. Your total contribution to this forum has been to call me out and before I put you on ignore, I'd like to give you a chance to explain why.

.....nice to have the stopping power of the AK and it is fairly simple to shoot.. It Helps me sleep comfortably when I am in the middle of nowhere!

2014 - Console Mod

I figured I'd just revive this thread instead of opening a new one. The first I did when my wife and I were car shopping, is checking how much space is available in the center console to install a holster. As soon as I sat in the driver and my wife in the passenger seats, I opened it and we both looked at each other and smiled arty:
Now here is my set up. I used a Blackhawk Serpa holster, a bracket that I found in the garage (not even sure what it was for), 2 plastic spacers, nuts and bolts. For better results, I suggest of a couple of bottles of your favorite brew.
the last 2 pics were from the traded Titan. The cool part was the console had a removable liner which made the install cleaner (beside the white spacers). I am contemplating how I can mirror that install in my 4R.
It is pretty straight forward but let me know if you have any questions.

Good stuff here. Now if only they'd change the rules for military bases, I'd feel comfortable doing something like this. As it is now a concealed carry license isn't recognized on DoD installations. So I'd have to remember to take it out every time I wanted to go on base or risk getting in a lot of trouble.

Most PMs are authorized to issue a select number of CHLs. Still researching this though.
