Please Welcome my New 2008 Salsa Red Pearl SE V-6 4x4
I finally added my 2nd Runner. I would have LIKED a V-8, But I did not NEED a V-8. I can get in just as much trouble with the V-6, Plus the Oil Change is easier!!!! IMO The V-8 are very hard to find here in central NC.

Anyway here are the specs:

Of course the Standard SE Equipment ie.. X-REAS, Hood Scope ect..

Options from the Factory,

Double Decker Cargo System
Jbl System
115v power point
Homelink
DRL (If there is a mod to disable I will do so)
Moonroof

Port added options, Southeast Toyota is famous for these:

Rear Spoiler (The 03-05 one, not the one with the big hump)
Cargo Net
Drop Hitch and Ball mount (at this point I am not sure if it is weight carrying or distributing????) and 7-pin plug.

Now my wife and I do not have to fight over who is driving the "4Runner":biggrin2:

I got it for $32900 approx. Out the Door. Sticker was $36589
I got it for just under invoice because it had been on the lot for over 120days.

CONGRATS!!! Salsa is a nice color especially on a Sport Edition. We don't see too many of those around (around where I live anyways) :bigok:

I copy that. One of the reasons I picked up a hoodscoop for myself and the wife gets the SR5. Completely selfish on my part it may seem... aw screw it who we kidding?!? We should be commended for giving our wives their own runners, right??

What is the front skid plate you list in your signature?? I Thought it aready had one???? Sorry for the Knob like question but I am new to the T4R 4x4 world.

Aw man, I DO remember that thread. I don't remember exactly but you and others mentioned something on the lines of "Go for it". Haha, good advice indeed. Seems like that encouragement came full circle. Now you can pretend their "his" and "her" towels. Now if your wife starts foofing up the SR5 with doilies and pink Tinkerbell floormats then we need to have a stern talking to. Again, congratulations!

Don't worry about the questions, that's what the forum is for. Anyhoo, the front skid listed is just the Toyota brand stamped aluminum accessory skid plate.

Functional? One can argue that it is or really isn't. More bling really. But I like the look. It gives a little more (how much I don't know) protection to the lower part of the radiator (but not much). But it has already had run ins with pieces of drywall on the highway. I'm thinking of replacing it out with a Westin ultimate bull bar w/ skid plate instead.

I'm thinking of replacing it out with a Westin ultimate bull bar w/ skid plate instead.

I've got the same bull bar with the same lights. Both are easy to install and look great.

I have not used the back yet, but having played with it a little bit I think I like it. When it is folded flat you only lose an 1" to 1 1/2" height or floor to ceiling space in the back. I can see where it could be useful. I will put it to the test when I load my 115lb golden in the back and see how well it holds up to her. She is a big girl....

Well that is a loaded statement!! Especially the "Your new SE"
part.

We don't have a Hers and His car arrangement. We never have. We pretty much switch every couple days. But the SE will be used more on the weekends. Our Camry used to sit from Friday night until Monday morning. Now our 04 will probably sit on the weekends. The 04 has provided 80000+ Trouble free miles, it deserves a break. :bigok:

It took a whole six pack just to get the Exhaust tip secured properly!!! But who needs a reason to drink beer????:yummie:

That is really a nice looking SE 4runner. The red a nice color, don't see many of those here in Arizona. Those 4runners you have look good side by side like that. Congratulations!
