Porsche Cayenne S

Wow...lots of hate here for the Cayenne. Personally, I love it - good luck with it.

When I bought my 4Runner, that was the other option for me. Very different vehicles, and I decided that the 4Runner was more along the lines of what I was really looking for at the time. Besides, my wife has an X5 which I figure is pretty close to the Cayenne anyway.

(Full disclosure - I am a Porsche fan and have owned 3.)

My wife wanted a Cayenne. She was coming out of a money pit Mercedes and I told her to go to a Honda or Toyota dealer and pick anything she wanted under 45k. She drives 20,000 miles a year and goes cross country. I'm not taking any more broke down on the highway calls from 5 states over anymore. Been there done that.

These are really nice, just not cheap to own.
Have owned 2 European cars and not again. (Audi and Mini)
My concern was when the warranty ends.

For me it's either Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota or Lexus.

But the Cayennes look nice. One of my favorite SUVs on the road. Congrats on the Porsche.

I like the Cayenne.

I was looking at them, but given my intended use, it just not fit.

The Cayenne is an excellent car, but I think it would look goofy with aggressive all terrain tires, and if I got a scratch on it, it would drive me crazy. The 4r on the other hand looks better with aggressive tires and a few scratches and dings does not look bad.

I love the on road performance of the Cayenne, but I think I just have to go with a car, like a used Maserati Granturismo.

In a perfect world I would just have a few to choose from depending on my mood. Around Miami, the Cayenne would be great, especially if I was just planning on trading it in every 3 years or so. But I have not held on a car for long for a very long time, so I got the 4r with intentions of keeping it for a very long time.

I think when I do get a second car, the Cayenne will be on the selection list.

This 400 hp mom car will track with a Vette and go off road too.

More like, dirt road. That thing wouldn't get far before being broken on any real trails.

I'm sure it is very nice, fast, and handles well, but all of those things are completely at odds with off road capability.
