ok guys, so i was trolling around on the FJ forum today, and came across this awesome grille a small company up in Oregon did. The guy said the customer service was spot on, so i feel confident in posting this. The company is Black Diamond Fabrication, and he currently makes grills for the Taco and FJ, but not our 4Runners! So I'm creating this thread to see if there is any interest in convincing him to start making one. Please vote or provide input to anything I can tell him about what we want in a custom grille! And do please ask if you have any questions!

Here is the link about the FJ with the Black Diamond Fabrication grill.

I voted 'for the right price'. I like it but I don't absolutely need it now. There should be an option for 'I like it'.

I'm not a fan of that setup. If that is what you want more power to ya, but if he can do RGM styles like homertaco on TW and beat his price, I have cash in hand.

Yet another mod I'd be down for. I'd mount one of the old school toyota logos on mine though. If it were under $100 I'd do it.

I have no idea. The price is high, but I guess you get what you pay for. I have my old chrome grill hanging on my wall if he wants one for a prototype.

That's a awesome looking grill mod. His prices are more than I would like to spend, but it looks like a quality product. If I had the extra cash I'd be willing to do it.

For those who don't click the links his prices range from $160-$260

I have one too but all the mounting posts are broken so we can send him that one first, if u all like. Whats up bud!! That would definetly be the touch for my truck.

Not to distract from Jaybird but I reached out to HomerTaco to see if he would be interested in producing something for the 4gen runners. He is interested however would need someone within 50 miles of Bucks county PA as a test subject. He wants to make sure he can test fit and produce a quality product. If anyone is in the area and interested either PM me or reach out to him on Tacoma World directly.

His work can be found here:

yea, Homertaco does some seriously quality work, he runs the market for Tacos. That's a great idea T4, i forgot about him until recently... Never heard a bad thing about him or his work, so this will be an interesting route to look at!:hungry:

I'm not sure I'd want to spend $200 on something like this. At the same time, I don't really see how it could be done for less. The grill replacement alone is $80-$100 and that's before you take the additional material, paint and labor into consideration.
You could try to do it yourself for less, but this guys has already done dozens and knows what he is doing, so in all reality, this is probably a pretty good price...

ok, so here's where were at. talked to Black Diamond through Facebook, and right now he is so covered up in FJ and jeep stuff that he doesn't feel like he should start a new product line yet. I did tell him to keep us in mind though once he does decide to expand, and sent him the link to the forum and this thread to show our interest. T4 talked to Homertaco on Tacoma Forums, he does all things satoshi and does such a great job. He's willing to work with us if we can find a donor grill in Pennsylvania to get to him so that he can work out a prototype. If any of you are near there and interested in that, please let me or Homer know so that we can get this ball rolling:banana::banana::banana:

jaybird93000! thanks for the leg work man! i feel like i can generally speak for all of us and say a collective thank you!
