My son and I pulled the lower air dam off the front this evening. On the trail last weekend it hit an obstacle and caused quite a ruckus. So it is now gone and it looks SO much better with it gone.

I'm liking this mid-refresh. In looking forward to seeing what bumpers, winch, lift, tires etc... Will look like. I don't know how a front bumper will work with those little lights.

Getting oil change done, they have an LE with the new midnight blue? whatever its called. Beautiful! I still can't get over the huge chrome piece :/

What brand did you use for the lift kit? is it 3"? What brand and size are those tires? If you don't mind. I'm getting the same one just that I ordered the red one and it won't get to Edmonton until the end of November. I'd like to lift it and get the tires as soon as I get it. I was thinking on 285/70/17 Duratracs. Nice truck btw..

Revtek 3" front, 2 1/8" rear lift system

The Dealership that I'm buying my 2014 4Runner Trail from is offering me this lift kit, Revtek 3" front, 2 1/8" rear lift system. Is this a good kit, good brand? The plus side of getting it from them is that is warrantied through the dealer.

What he said ^. One person at my dealer made the same comment, "your lift is going to void your warranty." So what! It doesn't void your warranty on the entire truck... Just a few components connected to the suspension. A lot of it you're replacing with the lift anyways and it has it's own warranty. I did a ton of research prior to my lift and I couldn't find any complaints from members of warranty problems following the lift. If it was common you would hear about it on here.

Toytec Ultimate lift and Icon lifts are great and very popular on here. Make sure you get UCAs especially where you're going with larger tires. Congrats on the new whip.

AFAIK, the dealer can only refuse to warranty a part if a modification is directly responsible for the failed part.

I realize they aren't the same style lift, but does one have any considerable downsides?

Spacer lifts effectively make your shock absorbers your bump stops. Shock absorbers are not designed to be bump stops. Take a bad hit and there will be bad damage:

If you plan to actually drive off road, stick with your plan to get a real suspension lift. Find a more reputable shop.

It won't be off road often because of my truck, but when it does, its things like crossing big irrigation ditches, hitting hidden ditches, and crossing creeks. I don't think it would be too big of a deal but I'll check on it.

I to first started out with a spacer lift. After going off road with articulations the rear would make a big thumping noise once through the rut. The shock maybe over extending itself which isn't good. Then switched over to a full suspension lift. Much better no worries with shock over extension. My .02

Well there it is. I'm finally home and settled and have everything done to it. Icon stage 5 with metaltech's upper and lower control arms. It's sitting on 285 duratracs with FN countersteers. I wheeled it a few weekends ago and it preformed flawlessly.
