Got the runner back today with IVD suspension upgrades, rides and looks better a little taller. The front came up 2 inches and the backed got raised about an inch. Once the springs settle down it should just be slightly taller in back for towing our teardrop.

anyone know why my suspension has been rising instead of settling? I installed 5100s with OME 885s and SAW 1.5" in the back. I have driven about 250 miles since installing the new suspension.
My rear springs haven't settled at all which is fine. But my fronts have risen about an inch since the last time i measured.
Ive been measuring the floor to the middle of the wheel well each time on level ground. I don't mind the extra height, i like how it looks now that it's been raised a bit but I'm just curious why its rising?

I'm not sure why it would be rising... but try measuring from the center of your wheel to the bottom of your fender.

For all the DIY guys, how long is the suspension install taking for you all? Trying to see if I can manage the install with one friend.
I have installed suspension on sports cars, so it would seem this is very similar but I figured I'd ask you all first.
Local shop asked for $500 including an alignment, so I'm weighing the cost/benefit of doing it myself.

I'm sorry I'm unable to answer your question but I do have a question for you. Exactly what does that quote entail? What all are they installing for you?

Took about 3 hours using the "no spring compressor" method. And that was with the hassle of KDSS as well as ample beer breaks. You should have no problem.
The quote was for:
Install 5160 & 6112 Combo $400
Alignment $100
No UCA's or any other parts.
Installing myself is fine, but on jobs like this I'm always missing some stupid unicorn tool that's needed for this one job only or I break something haha.
Which front lift did you install? Did you disconnect the upper control arm and slide the assembly in and out that way instead of disconnecting the lower control arm?
