Potential for new plate style bumper from Addicted Offroad

I looked through the thread but I may have missed some answers to my questions so forgive me,

With the pre order for the $50 off, does the down payment have to be in full at $699? If not, how much down payment do y'all need? Would y'all consider a payment plan? the only reason I ask is I'm in college and looking at about $900 to my door is alot of money for me to come up with at one time, even if I save a percentage of my checks, I only get paid once a month and alot of unexpected expenses come up month to month. I realize this is a real world problem that prohibits alot of us from making purchases we'd like to make :violin: but I mean hey, I really want your bumper, I'm just trying to figure out how to get it...so I had to ask some questions. I may just have to wait haha which sucks cause I really need a sturdier bumper and radiator protection, If I got in a wreck (god forbid) I'd be pretty screwed with my bumper now. thanks guys..

Essentially you are paying for the entire thing up front. We can't really do a payment plan, unless we worked something through paypal. Even with that I wouldn't be able to ship the bumper until it was paid in full anyway.

When I was in Undergraduate... I donated blood and plasma as often as I could to be able to afford my habit, had a built Jeep YJ back then... when there's a will.. there's a way!

Our plan is to keep our current bumper design, but we will have an add on option that boxes in the tube area around the sides. So, basically, its a piece that will simply slide over the current bumper sides and welds into place.

This way you won't lose the strength and structure of the tubing.

Except a well build YJ is still tons cheaper than a well build 4runner! I've been there, just sold my YJ a few months back for a more expensive habit. The only difference is that my wife supports the 4runner.

1. What "trimming" is necessary for fitment? I have a 1998 if that matters.

2. Do the new turn signals utilize the factory turn signal wiring?

1) you need to trim off the side bumper supports. And, you will need to trim off the original frame cap on the front of the frame to allow the new crossmember to slide over the 2x3 frame. This all can be done easily with an angle grinder.

2) Yes, we use the original wiring for the turn signals.

Tacoma and 3rd gen 4runner versions are done now. Cut files are loaded and we are burning them out. We are building the jig next week and will start assembling them as soon as its done.

Here is a 96 that we just finished, and test fitted it on my double cab to make sure it fits. It does, although its very tight on the 01-04 "bubble" grill. It still fits.
